| Position Summary | The University of New Mexico-Valencia campus is seeking a professional, outgoing and dependable individual for an Administrative Assistant 2 position to support the Business Operations Division. This position supports multiple departments including Business and Finance, Information Technologies, Facilities Management, Marketing and Events, and Capital Projects. This position is a critical component of support operations as the first point of contact both in-person and telephonically for the campus community. This position is the point person within an integrated team that manages the physical campus, and collaborates with multiple departments and admins. Responsibilities include travel arrangements, meeting and calendar management, physical inventory tracking, supply inventories, mail systems, switchboard and front desk support, ticket system tracking, and fleet management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and can effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines working both individually and collaboratively. The desired candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and will ideally be able to demonstrate proficiency with various software packages including Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Creative Cloud, Banner or similar platform as well as proficiency with purchasing procedures and travel policies. This is a full-time position, working on-campus with occasional travel. Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county, The University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of The University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical vocational programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro Counties. | Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
