ABOUT US

Justice 4 is a registered charity and Justice 4 Windrush is our first campaign. Our co-founders are the actor Colin McFarlane and singer Annie Lennox.

We aim to achieve full, fair and fast compensation for victims of the Home Office scandal affecting the Windrush generation. We also work to educate the nation about its roots and impact, so that those affected and their families are truly seen, heard, included and healed.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced PA with a commitment to social and racial justice to support our CEO Colin McFarlane, and help keep a small, busy charity running smoothly.

You’ll manage the CEO’s diary, inbox and correspondence; arrange meetings and travel; draft communications; track deadlines and follow up on actions; and, where appropriate, deputise for the CEO at meetings and events.

You’ll also support the charity’s day-to-day finance administration. This includes processing invoices and expenses, keeping accurate records in Xero, preparing payments for approval, and working with our Treasurer and external accountants on reconciliations, budgets, reporting and year-end accounts. You don’t need to be an accountant, but you do need to be confident and accurate with figures.

You’ll organise meetings of the Board of Trustees and take minutes, and help coordinate our schools pilot, university ambassador programme, talks, screenings and other events. Fundraising support will also be part of the role.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH

• Proven experience as a PA to a senior leader

• Experience of finance administration, including invoices, expenses, payments and accurate record-keeping

• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and confident minute-taking

• Discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential information

• The ability to work remotely, take initiative and attend in-person meetings and events in London

• A genuine commitment to social and racial justice

Experience with Xero, fundraising, charity governance or the charity sector would be an advantage.
