Position Summary: Shine Counseling is seeking a passionate and skilled Child and Family Therapist to join our growing team. This role focuses on providing therapeutic support to children (primarily ages 0–9) and their families, helping them navigate developmental, emotional, and relational challenges through compassionate, culturally responsive care. We are constantly seeking exceptional clinicians who are focused on achieving positive outcomes for their clients. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual, family, and/or play therapy to children and their caregivers Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical assessments Collaborate with schools, medical providers, and other community supports Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and training opportunities Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation using an EMR system Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of care delivery Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field Active Oregon license (or associate registration) as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent Experience providing therapy to children and families Strong understanding of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered care Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of electronic medical records (EMRs) Must pass a background check and meet all requirements for working with vulnerable populations Preferred Qualifications: Specialized training or experience in early childhood development (ages 0–5) Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as play therapy, PCIT, DBT, EMDR, or CBT Bilingual or multilingual abilities Knowledge of community resources and family systems Benefits: Compassionate and knowledgeable clinical supervision $2,000 annual training & certification stipend Paid ADHD certification course In-house EMDR training and supervision Full health, dental, and vision coverage Life insurance and disability coverage 3% Simple IRA match Business laptop and phone Downtown wellness/fitness membership 5 weeks paid time off annually Join Our Mission: At Shine Counseling, we believe in transforming lives through inclusive, trauma-informed care while supporting our clinicians in their personal and professional growth.
