The Supply Chain Services Analyst is the primary Services PLM interface to Supply Chain for offers that depend on material, repair, inventory, logistics, and asset-recovery economics.
The role develops a practical understanding of costs, operating models, and constraints so that business cases, portfolio decisions, and change requests are grounded in operational reality. Working across Supply Chain and PLM, the advisor supports services such as staging and system integration facility activities, repair and spares, and circular-economy programs.
How You Will Contribute
- Build and maintain a trusted working relationship between Services PLM and Supply Chain.
- Translate supply-chain cost drivers, capabilities, and constraints into clear business implications and sound portfolio recommendations.
- Bring fact-based analysis and disciplined follow-through to services involving staging, system integration facilities, repair, spares, and circular-economy models.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day Services PLM liaison with Supply Chain, establishing effective forums, contacts, working rhythms, and escalation paths.
- Develop working knowledge of supply-chain operating models, including sourcing, inventory, warehousing, logistics, staging, repair, spares, asset recovery, and disposition.
- Understand and document relevant cost drivers, assumptions, dependencies, and allocation methods, including material, labor, freight, duties, inventory carrying cost, repair yield, obsolescence, and third-party charges.
- Partner with functional PLMs and Supply Chain to develop and validate business cases, P&Ls, pricing inputs, and investment recommendations.
- Challenge assumptions and identify sensitivity, risk, data gaps, and operational constraints so that decisions are grounded in achievable cost and delivery models.
- Support portfolio development and lifecycle decisions for staging and system integration facility services, repair and spares offers, and circular-economy services.
- Coordinate requirements and actions across Supply Chain, Services Delivery, Finance, Quoting, Commercial Management, Operations, and PLM.
- Prepare and track change requests, implementation plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions through completion.
- Monitor actual cost and operating performance against business-case assumptions and recommend corrective action or model updates.
- Create reusable cost models, decision templates, documentation, and reporting that improve consistency and speed across Services PLM.
Measures of Success
- Business cases and portfolio decisions reflect validated supply-chain costs, capabilities, risks, and constraints.
- Improved cost transparency and forecast accuracy for staging, system integration facility, repair, spares, and circular-economy services.
- Change requests and implementation plans progress with clear ownership, milestones, and timely issue resolution.
- Fewer avoidable gaps between commercial assumptions and operational execution.
- Strong, productive engagement between Supply Chain and Services PLM.
The Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Typically 8 to 10 years of relevant supply-chain, operations, services, product management, finance, or business-analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of supply-chain cost structures and operating models, with the ability to connect operational detail to commercial decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop or validate business cases, P&Ls, cost models, and financial assumptions.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional change requests, plans, dependencies, risks, and actions.
- Advanced analytical, spreadsheet, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
Assets:
- Experience with telecommunications equipment, service-parts logistics, repair operations, or depot networks.
- Experience with staging, integration facilities, reverse logistics, circular economy, refurbishment, or asset recovery.
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory, cost-accounting, reporting, or business-intelligence systems.
