As a member of the External Affairs team, the Advocacy Manager works to build and mobilize community, political, and electoral power in support of sexual and reproductive health, rights, and freedom. This role empowers Utahns with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities to make their voices heard, engage in the democratic process, and advance meaningful cultural and policy change.
Working across both Planned Parenthood Association of Utah (PPAU), a 501(c)(3), and Planned Parenthood Action Council of Utah (PPAC), a 501(c)(4), the Advocacy Manager cultivates and mobilizes relationships with a diverse network of stakeholders, including volunteers, community partners, allied organizations, elected officials, political campaigns, and community leaders. The Advocacy Manager leads PPAC's candidate endorsement process and supports legislative and electoral campaigns, while developing and sustaining an engaged network of volunteers and activists. This role also coordinates coalition-building initiatives, develops accessible and timely advocacy communications, and ensures compliance with applicable nonprofit and campaign regulations.
