Employment Status: Unpaid Internship for Academic Credit. Enrollment in an accredited degree program and written approval from the candidate's school are required. Term: One academic term (approximately 12-15 weeks), aligned to the candidate's school calendar Commitment: 12-20 hours per week, scheduled in advance and set around the candidate's course load. Candidates able to be reachable during business hours (8AM - 5PM MT) are preferred, as community activity peaks during the workday. Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates able to spend time on-site at Gymreapers HQ in Nampa, ID Program Summary: Gymreapers is offering a credit-bearing internship for a student who wants hands-on exposure to creator marketing, affiliate programs, and online community building. The intern will work alongside our Brand Partnerships team supporting the Gymreapers TikTok Shop affiliate Discord community, where several thousand creators go to get product, learn what is launching, enter contests, and track their standing on the leaderboard. This is a learning position. The intern works under direct supervision, supports rather than replaces the team members who own this community, and will not be the sole coverage for it. The intern will welcome new members, post updates from approved copy, help answer routine questions from an approved FAQ, encourage conversation, keep channels tidy, and escalate anything requiring a decision. This internship is unpaid and offered for academic credit only. It carries no expectation of compensation and no entitlement to a paid position at its conclusion. Hours are set around the candidate's academic schedule and will be adjusted for exam periods and academic obligations. With our mantra, "NOTHING IS GIVEN," we embody a relentless pursuit of excellence, innovation, and community-building. Our Core Values: Grow or Die Customer Obsession Extreme Ownership Nothing is Given // Everything is Earned Be Humble 1% Better Everyday Live with Integrity Sacrifice Learning Objectives: By the end of the term, the intern will have practical, resume-ready experience in the following areas: How a creator affiliate program is structured, including tiering, incentive design, and product seeding. How online communities are built and sustained: onboarding, engagement, moderation, and retention. Brand voice and community communication, including drafting copy that reflects an established tone. Basic community reporting: tracking membership, activity, and recurring member issues, and turning that into a weekly summary. How marketing, e-commerce, and creator partnerships coordinate inside a growing consumer brand. Professional escalation judgment: recognizing which questions carry commercial or legal weight and routing them appropriately. Supervision & Structure: Weekly one-on-one check-in with the supervising Senior Specialist to review work, answer questions, and set the coming week's focus. Written approved copy, FAQ, and community guidelines provided at the start of the term. The intern will not be asked to invent policy or answer questions the FAQ does not cover. A named escalation path for seeding, contest, payout, and member-conduct questions. Escalating is the expected behavior, not a failure. Mid-term and end-of-term feedback sessions, plus any evaluation forms the candidate's school requires. Hours flex around exams, class schedules, and academic deadlines. Academic commitments take priority. Key Responsibilities: Community Engagement & Onboarding: Welcome new members as they join and help them through the onboarding steps so they receive the correct role and can see the right channels. Follow up with members who stall partway through onboarding. Help keep Open Chat and Post Your Videos active with prompts, replies, and recognition of member wins. Flag standout member-posted content to the team for potential repurposing. Communications & Updates: Post announcements, launch reminders, contest updates, and leaderboard posts on the published schedule using copy written or approved by the team. Help keep the Resources and Training channels current: flag broken links, outdated posts, and gaps. Maintain a running record of what has been posted and what is scheduled next. Draft first-pass copy for routine community posts for team review and approval. Moderation & Channel Upkeep: Monitor channels for spam, off-topic posts, promotion of other brands, and conduct that breaks the community rules, and escalate what is found. Redirect misplaced posts to the correct channel. Monitor the Help channel, answer routine questions from the approved FAQ, and route everything else to the correct owner. Tracking & Reporting: Log recurring questions, friction points, and confusion so the FAQ and onboarding flow can be improved. Maintain a simple weekly summary of new members, activity, questions received, and issues escalated. Raise member sentiment issues or emerging problems as they happen rather than at week's end. Outside the Scope of This Role: The intern does not carry decision-making authority in the following areas. Questions in these categories are escalated to the supervising Senior Specialist or the TikTok Affiliate Controller, never answered directly. Commission amounts, payout timing, payout disputes, or any question involving money owed to a member. Sample and product seeding approvals or denials, and any exception to the published seeding criteria. Contest rules, prize amounts, eligibility rulings, or declaring a contest result. VIP role assignment or removal. Discount codes, pricing, promotional terms, or anything a member could act on commercially. Removals, bans, or any permanent action against a member's account. Unreleased product, launch dates, inventory levels, or internal strategy of any kind. Any statement made on behalf of Gymreapers to a member outside of approved copy and the approved FAQ. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, and eligible to receive academic credit for this internship. Written approval from the candidate's school or internship coordinator prior to the start date. Active, comfortable Discord user; understands roles, channels, threads, and community norms. Clear, professional written communication, and the judgment to know when a question needs escalating rather than answering. Reliable and consistent within an agreed weekly schedule. Organized enough to maintain a posting record and a weekly summary. Comfortable enforcing community rules politely and without escalating tone. Familiarity with TikTok, TikTok Shop, creator or affiliate programs, or the fitness and strength training space is a strong plus. Prior experience helping run or moderate an online community, of any size, is a plus. What You Get: Academic credit through your school's internship program Direct mentorship from the Gymreapers Brand Partnerships team, including weekly one-on-ones Hands-on exposure to creator marketing, affiliate program mechanics, and TikTok Shop Gymreapers product allowance Employee discount Gymreapers on-site gym access for on-site interns A written performance summary and a professional reference at the end of the term Consideration for future openings as they become available This internship is unpaid and is offered solely for academic credit.
