Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as an After-sales Engineer servicing Packsys Global customers, located in Bogota, D.C., with some work-from-home flexibility. The E-Service Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and providing technical support for our machines and systems. Daily tasks include performing maintenance and repair, delivering field service, and effectively communicating with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Support customers' inquiries regarding electronic issues through phone, email, and remote services.
• Advise customers on electrical process optimization.
• Following up on open requests from customers, working actively and reactively with customers remote and onsite
• Perform electrical, electronic and/or automation engineering either remotely or in person, according to the needs of the company and the service.
• Perform remote configurations and validations of automation and related software (Configure RDH), TIA Portal, SCADA systems, Siemens and/or other related systems.
• Prepare reports, as well as report to management all remote configurations and validations performed for their respective billing.
• Document processes and activities in the area, as well as keep the records required by intercompany clients up to date.
• Provide internal support to the organization and different users in matters relating to software, hardware, and networks, where required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 4 years of experience Field Engineer or similar in instrumentation and automation, knowledge of metrology
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Spanish and English +B2; knowledge of other regional languages is a plus.
• Automation (PLC, Instrumentation, Control) with SIEMENS or similar systems
• Social and emotional awareness to tailor interactions for individual customers
• Ability to work in multicultural environments.
• Analytical and data-driven
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Customer-oriented with a focus on results.
• Very good command in English (written and spoken); knowledge of other regional languages is a plus.
