WiseLex BPO is supporting a privately owned international chemical distributor that specializes in sourcing, supplying, and distributing specialty and industrial chemicals across North America and global markets. We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Chemical Sales Representative to develop and grow agricultural chemical sales throughout California and Arizona, with California as the primary market. This relationship-driven, business-development role works directly with growers, distributors, agricultural retailers, crop advisors, and other agricultural customers. This is an individual contributor role with remote/field-based responsibilities; multiple strong sales professionals may be hired.

Position Overview

The Agricultural Chemical Sales Representative will drive growth and profitability in the agricultural chemicals sector. You will prospect, develop, and manage a robust pipeline, grow existing accounts, and meet or exceed individual sales and revenue targets. This role emphasizes relationship-building, agronomic insight, and cross-functional collaboration with purchasing, logistics, customer service, suppliers, and technical support. Travel throughout California and Arizona is required, with a focus on California as the primary territory. This position supports customers across row crops, specialty crops, and fruit/vegetable production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business, prospect customers, open accounts, build a sales pipeline, and meet individual sales and revenue targets.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts, identify cross-selling opportunities, maintain strong customer relationships, and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Recommend chemical and crop nutrition solutions; support product selection, application recommendations, and field trials.
  • Build supplier relationships, identify sourcing opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements and supply terms, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Manage territory sales, prepare quotations and forecasts, negotiate pricing, and travel regularly throughout the territory.
  • Monitor agricultural market trends, seasonal demand, feedstock prices, crop market developments, import/export regulations, and competition.
  • Collaborate with leadership and teams across purchasing, logistics, customer service, suppliers, and technical support to ensure strong service and reliable product availability.

Qualifications

  • Experienced agricultural chemical sales professional with deep relationships in the regional agricultural community and the ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building, business development, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of agricultural crop production, crop protection products, and fertilizer solutions; able to translate agronomic needs into tailored chemical solutions.

Preferred

  • Senior candidates may have the opportunity to take on a player-coach role, personally generate sales, and help build and develop a regional sales team.
  • Established network within California and Arizona agricultural communities (growers, distributors, crop consultants, retailers).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Significant earning potential with uncapped compensation.
  • Opportunity to work with a growing, established business in an expanding agricultural market, build long-term industry relationships, make an impact in the agricultural community, and pursue career growth.
  • Competitive compensation structure with base salary and commission, plus opportunities for incentive-based rewards.
  • Comprehensive benefits package and exposure to a global chemical distribution environment.
  • Professional development and ongoing training opportunities.

Geographic Focus: California (primary), Arizona (secondary) – Remote / Field-Based
