Role Description The AI Applications Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software applications that power and extend COROS AI’s coaching capabilities. Day-to-day tasks include developing and integrating AI-powered features, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with product, design, and coaching experts to translate human-centered requirements into robust technical solutions. The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve application issues, provide technical support for internal stakeholders, and contribute to testing and quality assurance processes to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable deployments. This role also involves evaluating new tools and frameworks, improving development workflows, and documenting technical designs and implementation details to support team collaboration and long-term product evolution.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Software Development skills, including proficiency in modern programming languages, APIs, and cloud-based architectures.
• Candidates should possess Technical Support and Testing skills to diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis, and validate system performance and reliability.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering skills or understanding when integrating AI applications with hardware or sensor-based systems.
• Candidates should possess experience with AI/ML integration, data processing pipelines, and working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Relevant qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Beneficial skills include familiarity with natural language processing, experience in human-centered or coaching-related products, strong documentation practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in remote, cross-functional teams.
