Design our AI landscape - and help build it
DOVISTA is building a new digital capability. Digital Innovation & AI brings enterprise architecture, digital innovation and AI together in one department with a clear purpose: set the direction for our future IT landscape, build the shared data, AI and integration platforms our solutions stand on, and build the digital products that make it easier for dealers, partners and colleagues to work with our brands.
We are looking for a highly experienced AI Architect who will define how DOVISTA builds, connects, runs and governs AI, and who simply cannot stay away from the delivery. You will set the technical direction, develop the engineers around you and lift our AI capability across the organisation. You will shape our future AI landscape and solutions across all DOVISTA, and you will be in the code, the pipelines and the design sessions making it real.
You will work side by side with our Product Leader and our enterprise architects, so that what we build, why we build it and how it fits the target architecture always move in the same direction. You will also help IT itself harvest the benefits of AI, from a faster, multilingual service desk to software engineering that is quicker than ever and reviewed by AI.
About the department
Digital Innovation & AI is part of the group function Digital Solutions and has three areas:
- Enterprise Architecture - owns the IT target architecture, architecture principles and the architecture board
- Digital Innovation - builds new digital products for customers, partners and colleagues
- AI - builds and enables AI solutions and the shared AI capabilities other products reuse across DOVISTA
Define the AI target landscape
- Define the future AI architecture and solution landscape as part of DOVISTA's target architecture, together with our enterprise architects
- Set AI architecture principles, reference architectures and reusable patterns
- Bring AI decisions to the architecture board and make sure solutions move us towards the target
Design the AI platform and connectivity
- Shape the AI platform we build on: model access, agent orchestration, retrieval, evaluation, deployment and operations
- Define how MCP and APIs expose business capabilities such as rules, pricing, validation and product data to agents and applications
- Keep business logic in shared services, agents and the data platform, with thin applications on top
Architect and build our new digital products, hands-on
- Contribute directly to delivery: prototypes, code, prompts, pipelines, evaluations and reviews
Make us faster with AI-native delivery
- Define how we build customer-facing solutions in the experience layer with agentic coding and AI
- Set up the practices that keep quality high at speed: automated testing, evaluation, code review, CI/CD and security by design
- Coach engineers and partners in working effectively and responsibly with AI coding tools
Choose the right tool
- Guide the organisation on when to use AI, and when rules engines, integration, automation or conventional software are the better choice
- Balance model choice, quality, latency and cost for each use case
- Challenge ideas and designs with data, prototypes and honest trade-offs
Govern, monitor and control cost
- Define how AI usage, agents and tool access are monitored, logged and governed across the organisation, e.g. through an AI and MCP gateway
- Put token budgets, cost attribution and model routing in place, so we know what AI costs and what it returns
- Build in security, privacy, guardrails and compliance with regulation such as the EU AI Act from the start
Harvest the benefits of AI in IT
- Accelerate our service desk and support with AI, so colleagues get fast, high-quality help in all our languages
- Enable software engineers across IT to write code faster than ever, at high quality and with AI-assisted code review built into the workflow
- Measure the effect, e.g. resolution time, first-contact resolution, lead time and change failure rate, and scale what works
What you bring
- Extensive software engineering experience, including several years as a senior, lead or principal architect for AI or data solutions
- You have designed, built and run generative AI and agentic solutions in production, not only in pilots
- Deep knowledge of LLMs, agent orchestration, retrieval, evaluation and LLMOps, and of protocols such as MCP
- Experience designing AI or data platforms in the cloud, integrated with ERP, CRM and other enterprise systems
- Experience with AI-assisted and agentic software development, including AI code review, and with building customer-facing digital solutions
- Experience with AI governance, security, observability and cost management at enterprise scale
- Experience with AI in IT service management and support, ERP environments or manufacturing is an advantage
- Proven experience building AI solutions that delivered measurable business value and ran at scale, not only pilots
- Deep hands-on experience with agentic coding and how to apply it across the entire development process
Skills
- You still write code and enjoy it. APIs, infrastructure as code and CI/CD are familiar ground
- AI is not your only hammer. You know when a problem needs AI, and when it needs rules, integration, data work or conventional software
- You turn complex architecture into clear choices and trade-offs for executives, product leaders and engineers
- You think in cost, quality and risk, not only in capability
- You communicate clearly in writing and in person, and are fluent in English
As a person
- A builder at heart who cannot stay away from the delivery
- Pragmatic: you prefer working software over long documents
- Opinionated, curious and quick to learn, and open to being proven wrong
- Generous with knowledge and happy to lift the people around you
What we offer
- The chance to define DOVISTA's AI landscape from the start, and to build it yourself
- A real, commercially important solution to architect from day one
- A department where architecture, product and AI sit together
- An international group of brands with the long-term perspective of a foundation-owned company
Practical information
- Location: Denmark and Poland.
- Working model: Hybrid workplace with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
- Travel: Some travel across Europe should be expected.
