AI Architect / AI Engineer

We are looking for AI Architects and AI Engineers to strengthen our AI capabilities at CGI. Whether your expertise lies in designing scalable AI architectures, building hands-on solutions or combining both, we offer an opportunity to make a real impact.

The location of this role is CGI's offices in Espoo and in the Helsinki metropolitan area, but we operate in a flexible hybrid model. Our diverse teams decide for themselves which flexible working practices suit them best.

What You Will Do

Depending on your expertise, your responsibilities will focus on AI architecture, hands-on engineering or a combination of both.

As an AI Architect, you will:

• Design scalable, secure and practical AI architectures that support business needs and technology transformation
• Translate business objectives into architectural decisions and actionable implementation roadmaps
• Guide the integration of AI capabilities into existing systems, development processes and enterprise environments
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are reliable, responsible and deliver measurable value
• Help establish architectural principles and reusable approaches for AI adoption
  
  

As an AI Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop and implement AI-powered solutions, automation and accelerators, particularly in Azure-based environments
• Integrate AI capabilities into the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design to coding, testing and documentation
• Leverage technologies such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure AI services and Azure DevOps
• Build reusable AI components, prompt libraries and workflow templates that improve development efficiency and quality
• Apply AI to challenges such as legacy system understanding, documentation and application modernisation
  
  

In both roles, you will also have opportunities to share your expertise, support teams in adopting AI-enabled ways of working and contribute to secure and responsible AI practices.

What We Expect From You

We are looking for professionals who combine strong technical expertise with a practical approach to problem-solving and creating business value.

For the AI Engineer role, we value:

• Solid experience in software engineering, DevOps or related technical roles, with the ability to independently design and deliver technical solutions
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, AI-enabled workflows or Azure AI services
• A strong understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD and the software development lifecycle
• The ability to turn technical requirements into reliable and maintainable solutions
  
  

For the AI Architect role, we value:

• Extensive experience in solution architecture, software engineering or related technical disciplines, including responsibility for complex technical solutions
• Proven ability to design scalable architectures and guide technical decisions across systems and teams
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, cloud environments, integration patterns and architectural best practices
• The ability to connect business objectives with technology decisions and communicate architectural recommendations to different stakeholders
  
  

In both roles, we appreciate:

• Understanding of information security, AI governance and responsible AI practices.
• Strong collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity, initiative and the ability to identify where AI can create meaningful value
• Professional working proficiency in English. Finnish language skills are considered a significant advantage
• Experience in regulated industries, such as financial services, is considered an advantage
