AI Automation Specialist & Executive Assistant to the C-Level (f/m/d)
Time for Nature GmbHWe’re looking for our new team member!
Do we have your attention?
As our AI & Automation Specialist (f/m/d), you will work closely with our CEO and CMO to fundamentally improve how we work through AI, automation, and technology.
You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution: understand business challenges, rethink processes, and build practical solutions yourself.
Your main focus will be Marketing, while giving you the opportunity to work on strategic and operational projects across the company.
At the heart of this role is one guiding principle:
“Understand the problem. Improve the system. Build the solution.”
What this role offers and makes it unique: Significant autonomy and direct collaboration with the CEO & CMO, paired with visibility across the organization. A steep learning curve driven by genuine breadth and many topics at once.
Your areas of responsibility
AI & Automation
- Identify processes that can be improved through AI, automation, and technology.
- Build AI-powered workflows, automations, and internal tools yourself.
- Use AI tools, APIs, automation platforms, and code to solve problems independently.
- Continuously explore new technologies and turn relevant developments into practical solutions for Holzkern.
- Automate repetitive work and create scalable processes across Marketing and other business areas.
- Recognize that not everything can be automated right away: where no structure or process exists yet, build it manually and from scratch first, before deciding if and how to automate it.
- Understand the business objective and overall process before building a solution.
- Think in systems and ensure that new solutions integrate with our existing tools, processes, and data.
- Avoid isolated solutions and unnecessary data silos.
- Work directly with our CEO and CMO on strategic and cross-functional projects.
- Quickly understand new business challenges and turn them into pragmatic solutions.
- Support our CEO and CMO in selected operational and strategic tasks.
- Prepare presentations, analyses, research, and decision documents.
- Help structure and prioritize information and communication, including inbox management.
- Use AI and automation to continuously improve executive workflows.
- Take on mundane, recurring admin work (formatting, scheduling, inbox triage, document clean-up) with the same commitment as strategic projects — not every task is exciting, and this role is not only about the interesting 20%.
Your profile
- You are AI-native and constantly experiment with new AI models, tools, agents, and technologies.
- You have strong technical problem-solving skills and can independently build working solutions.
- You are comfortable with AI tools, automation platforms, APIs, data, and coding.
- You combine technical capabilities with strong business and strategic thinking.
- You naturally think in systems rather than isolated tasks.
- You are extremely hands-on and enjoy both strategic projects and operational execution.
- You learn quickly and enjoy working across different topics and business areas.
- You are structured, analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- You communicate confidently in German and English.
- You expect a clearly defined, repetitive role with fixed processes (this role requires building structure yourself, often from scratch)
- You want to work strategically only and see yourself as above admin tasks like scheduling, inbox triage, or document clean-up
- You need clear instructions before getting started, rather than building solutions yourself
- Using AI tools is enough for you — you don't want to experiment, code, or work with APIs yourself
- You don't understand the AI processes you build and can't explain them in your own words
- You'd rather work in isolation on one topic than jump across areas (Marketing, Strategy, Executive Support)
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
- Confident in English (B2); confident in German (B2) communication
- Hands-on experience with AI tools, automation platforms, and/or APIs
- Experience working with data, systems, and process design
- Experience with coding or building automated workflows is a strong advantage
