AI AWS Lead

Role purpose

• Architect, implement, and manage AI infrastructure on AWS.
• Bridge the gap between AI development and cloud infrastructure
• Optimize performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of AI systems

Accountabilities

• Lead the design and architecture ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide architectural guidance and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Work closely with Product and Business stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and engineering teams ensuring the platform meets the needs of the users.
• Define implementation approaches, algorithms, and code structures to meet requirements.
• Stay up to date on latest trends and new technologies in the AWS & AI space, evaluate their potential to introduce into our ecosystem based on their potential impact.
• Architect experience and responsibility includes defining, prototyping and recommending the technology solutions, detailing the implementation design and identifying interfaces with other products for integration.

Critical success factors & key challenges

• Strong solution design, logical and reasoning skills
• Ability to deliver POCs/ MVPs, technology evaluations following design thinking practices
• Ability to orchestrate efforts needed to prioritize business initiatives across complex change agendas

• 6-8 years' experience in AWS cloud architecture
• Degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Very strong understanding of AWS cloud technologies including SageMaker and Bedrock
• Experience implementing and managing cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
