Who we are:

Nimble is a boutique technology consultancy based in the UK North; Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester. We partner with ambitious clients across the public and private sectors to design, build, and optimize digital services that deliver real value. We pride ourselves on our agile mindset, our creative problem-solving, and our collaborative culture.

Our projects are diverse and different, just like our ways of working and our people. One of our key focusses is maintaining a strong culture of pragmatic, skilled, egoless people who collaborate to get things done and have lots of fun along the way.

The people we want

We want curious, tenacious problem solvers who create forward momentum. We value people with a high learning capacity: people who get to the real problem, learn fast in unfamiliar territory and turn ambiguity into a useful next step.

We also want kind, low-ego colleagues who are direct but constructive, generous with knowledge and good to work with. Brilliance is not a licence for poor behaviour. People should strengthen the team, not make it harder to work in.

AI & Cyber - Product and Delivery Practitioner

The role

We are looking for a hands-on product and delivery practitioner to run the operating mechanics of a complex technology platform. You will bring order, evidence and pace: turning technical activity into clear product roadmaps, robust governance, customer reporting, risk control and coordinated delivery across complex technical ecosystems.

You are not a generic project coordinator. You understand enough about complex platforms and systems—ideally across one of cyber operations, AI and data engineering—to bridge product management with practical delivery, ask the right questions, recognise when risk is not being managed, and make sure the right people act.

What you will do

  • Creatively lead product discovery and roadmap ownership: driving novel solutions, bringing fresh ideas, and translating complex operational problems into actionable product visions, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.

  • Actively shape continuous feedback loops and product iteration: deeply embedding yourself in the day-to-day work, leveraging user insights, and experimenting to challenge the status quo and maximize operational value.

  • Guide the delivery lifecycle of responsible AI products: embedding user-centric product practices, evaluation plans, human oversight, logging, and ethical release controls.

  • Proactively define and drive programme rhythms and delivery execution: establishing and steering processes rather than just participating in them, while maintaining robust RAID management across complex technical ecosystems.

  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across AI product management, cyber operations, data engineering, and client teams to ensure explicit hand-offs and delivery accountability.

  • Establish and evolve governance frameworks and operational controls: taking an action-oriented approach to authorisations, assurance artefacts, control evidence, and escalation pathways for cyber activity.

  • Produce evidence-led reporting and stakeholder communication: translating technical progress, security controls, and operational risks into actionable updates for senior sponsors.

  • Give programme and client leadership the operational support required to lead relationships and outcomes, rather than carrying every programme mechanic personally.

What good looks like after 90 days

  • You have established a clear delivery rhythm, product backlog, decision log, risk/dependency view and reporting cadence that stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams use.

  • Priority product features, delivery milestones, cyber operations and compliance risks have named owners, practical mitigation actions and defined escalation paths.

  • Core governance and assurance evidence is mapped, with gaps visible and a plan to close them.

  • Any active cyber work has clear authorisation, rules of engagement, data-handling controls and stop/escalation conditions.

  • Programme and product leadership has reliable operational support, clear visibility of high-value capabilities, and clearer space to focus on customers, decisions and outcomes.

What you bring

Essential

  • Proven delivery, programme, or product management experience in cyber security, AI systems, technology risk, or a similarly high-assurance setting.

  • T-shaped profile with deep expertise in one core domain (AI product management or cyber delivery) alongside broad skills across product lifecycles, cyber governance, and agile delivery.

  • Ability to translate complex AI capabilities and technical cyber information into clear product requirements, user stories, and decisive reporting.

  • Comfortable challenging senior technical stakeholders constructively and following issues through to resolution.

  • Experience managing agile multidisciplinary squads, suppliers, or client stakeholders to deliver complex capabilities in a pressured environment.

Desirable

  • Experience with security operations, vulnerability management, CTEM, threat intelligence, incident response or threat modelling.

  • Security qualifications such as CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.

  • Hands-on experience with AI governance frameworks, LLM/RAG evaluation methods, and agentic product delivery.

  • Public-sector, critical-national-infrastructure or sovereign programme experience.

What we offer:

  • Private healthcare for you and a family member through Westfield Health

  • Flexible / Hybrid working

  • Enhanced Parental pay

  • Volunteer Days

  • Multiple Qualified Mental Health First Aider’s with regular 1-1’s available

  • Laptop and any practicable equipment provided (either a Mac or Windows)

  • Regular Nimble Socials (both virtual & physical) including Escape rooms, Lunches, Award nights, Bowling, Bouldering and more!

  • Engaging and collaborative communities to be involved in
