Key Requirements
────────────────

- **Australian Citizen** — you must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance before day one.
- **5+ years hands-on AI Engineering** — greenfield and brownfield AI/ML environments across on-premise, public cloud and hybrid platforms; no juniors, no pretenders.
- **Based in VIC or NSW** — hybrid role with a mandatory full-time onsite first 6 weeks; you need to be within reasonable commute of the office.

The Gig
───────

## G'day, AI trailblazers!

Cloud Delivered is on the hunt for a **Senior AI Engineer** to join a high-impact federal government programme — and this gig is the real deal.

**Picture this:** You're embedded in a large-scale Technology and Digital Programme, working hybrid across VIC or NSW, designing and building secure-by-design AI/ML platforms that help millions of Australians access government services. We're talking greenfield and brownfield implementations, on-premise and public cloud, GPU engineering, MLOps, LLMs, RAG pipelines — the full stack. Your first six weeks are full-time onsite to nail the foundations, then hybrid kicks in.

This is a **12-month contract** (up to 24 months extension) at **Senior / EL1 equivalent** — the kind of role that puts serious runs on the board.

You'll be the go-to expert collaborating with Data Scientists, Cyber Security, Architecture and Core Data teams to establish foundational AI platform capability. You'll drive innovation, enforce governance, and translate complex technical requirements into scalable, compliant solutions aligned with APS frameworks. Autonomy is high — so is the expectation.

**We know because we do.** The Cloud Delivered crew are senior ICT contractors ourselves. We know what it takes to walk into a federal agency and deliver at pace. We'll back you with straight-up advice, fast feedback, and zero fluff.

If you tick the essentials below, we'll help you excel — let's get you across the line.
