Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly capable and delivery-focused AI Engineer to join our growing AI Centre of Excellence. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and deploying AI solutions that drive automation, efficiency, and innovation across our payments ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI tooling, support adoption, and ensure measurable business impact.

What you will do:

• AI Tooling Development: Design, build, test, and deploy AI models and tools to support business use cases across operations, finance, and customer experience.
• Solution Design & Delivery: Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural and compliance standards.
• Tooling Integration: Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows, collaborating with automation engineers and process analysts.
• Training & Adoption Support: Enable business teams through training, documentation, and hands-on support to drive adoption of AI tools.
• Roadmap Development: Contribute to the AI roadmap by identifying opportunities, evaluating feasibility, and proposing phased delivery plans.
• Vendor Engagement: Collaborate with external AI vendors and partners to evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party tooling and services.
• Use-Case Assessment: Participate in the intake and evaluation of AI use cases, assessing technical fit, data readiness, and delivery complexity.
• KPI Definition & Monitoring: Define success metrics for AI initiatives and monitor performance to ensure value realisation.
• Tooling Selection: Evaluate and recommend AI platforms, frameworks, and libraries based on business needs and technical fit.

Who you are

• A hands-on AI engineer with a strong track record of deploying AI solutions in fintech or high-growth digital environments.
• You have 3+ years of experience with AI tooling and exposure to agent-based AI frameworks or orchestration tools.
• You understand the nuances of payments operations and how automation can drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• You’re comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience with LLM-based agents, conversational AI, or intelligent document processing is highly desirable.
