Senior AI Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Opportunity

Join a newly formed, executive-sponsored AI Transformation organization focused on delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions across a large global enterprise. This team sits at the intersection of business, product, and engineering, partnering directly with stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities and rapidly bring AI-powered solutions into production.

This is not a research role and it's not a platform engineering role. You'll work directly with business partners to solve real-world problems using modern AI technologies, helping define how AI is adopted throughout the organization.

What You'll Do

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges and identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and agentic workflows.
• Develop production-grade solutions leveraging LLMs, AI agents, MCPs, skills, and modern AI frameworks.
• Rapidly prototype ideas, validate business value, and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
• Conduct solution demos and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with product, program, and engineering teams to drive adoption and measurable business outcomes.
• Help establish best practices for enterprise AI delivery and implementation.

Required Qualifications

• AI Engineering Expertise
• Experience building and deploying AI applications into production environments.
• Hands-on experience developing AI agents from scratch.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, agent architectures, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol), skills, tools, harnesses, or similar agent frameworks.
• Solution Architecture & Problem Solving
• Proven ability to take ambiguous business problems and decompose them into technical solutions.
• Strong systems design and solution architecture capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate multiple approaches and determine the most effective implementation strategy.
• Product & Stakeholder Management
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders or customers.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business impact.
• Demonstrated product mindset and customer empathy.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building multi-agent systems.
• Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases.
• Background in AI-powered automation or workflow orchestration.
• Experience building coding agents or AI-assisted developer tools.
• Experience delivering customer-facing AI products.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $85.00/hr.
