AI Engineer (Azure OpenAI/Semantic Kernel) - Hybrid Lisbon/Porto (3 days/week office) ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We're looking for four Senior AI Engineers to join a well-established organization investing heavily in enterprise-grade AI Agent solutions. This is a rare opportunity to work on production-grade Generative AI systems within the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem, not just proofs of concept. You'll be part of a team building, deploying, and industrializing AI agents that integrate directly with core business systems, with real ownership over how these solutions move from design to production at scale. PROJECT & CONTEXT The team is designing and developing AI Agents and GenAI-powered automation to support enterprise processes, combining LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent orchestration frameworks with existing business systems. The mandate goes beyond experimentation: the priority is industrialization within the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem, covering automated deployment, CI/CD, observability, model evaluation and testing, quality and cost monitoring, security, access control, and full LLMOps/MLOps practices. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required) Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering experience, including at least 2 years in AI/GenAI Proven experience designing and developing AI Agents Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agent frameworks Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems Experience with process automation and agent orchestration Working knowledge of cloud platforms and AI services Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, Azure AI Search, .NET 8, and Python Experience with React / TypeScript and Azure DevOps Ability to bring AI solutions to production: automated deployment, CI/CD, observability, model evaluation/testing, quality and cost monitoring, security, and access control Minimum B2 English (Upper Intermediate) NICE TO HAVE (Preferred) Experience with Copilot Studio Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI COMPENSATION Compensation: up to €2,600/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
