We are looking for an AI Engineer – Python & Azure (100% Remote)!

Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from business teams and translate them into use cases, rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Design, develop, and deploy generative AI agents using Python and Azure.
• Build agent workflows, including orchestration, tool integration, memory, and human approval before executing actions.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Azure AI Search, including hybrid search and semantic reranking.
• Develop and optimise prompts and guardrails to protect against prompt injection, enforce operational boundaries, and validate factual accuracy.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems through REST APIs.
• Measure and improve solution quality through automated evaluations, including accuracy, groundedness, and response times.
• Deploy AI solutions to Azure, implementing monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Support demonstrations, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), pilot projects, go-live activities, and post-production support.
• Ensure that AI agents operate securely within client-controlled data environments and access rules.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Experience deploying applications or AI agents powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) into production.
• Familiarity with agent development frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft Foundry or Azure OpenAI.
• Experience building RAG solutions using Azure AI Search or another vector search engine.
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation, including test datasets, evaluation metrics, and automated testing.
• Experience with Azure, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Fluent in European Portuguese (native level).
• Knowledge of English is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice to have:

• Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience with Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, and Application Insights.
• Experience developing voice agents using Azure Speech.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems such as ERPs or CRMs.
• Familiarity with Copilot Studio and Power Platform.
• Knowledge of AI application security and GDPR requirements.
• Microsoft Azure AI certifications.
• Experience working with Scrum methodologies and directly engaging with clients.
