Forward Deployed AI Engineer — Sales & Marketing Systems

About the Role
Speedrack West is hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production AI systems, with an initial focus on Sales and Marketing workflows.
This is a hands-on engineering and builder role. You’ll work directly with Sales and Marketing leaders to understand real business problems and turn them into reliable AI agents, integrations, and automated workflows.
We’re not looking for someone whose AI experience is limited to prompting, consulting, demos, or basic no-code automations. You should be comfortable writing code, integrating APIs, deploying agents into production, working with live business data, and owning systems end-to-end.
What You’ll Build
Your initial focus will include systems such as:
- Inbound Lead Qualification: Research, enrich, and score new leads in real time and prepare personalized outreach.
- Pipeline Intelligence: Analyze CRM activity and call transcripts to identify at-risk opportunities and recommend next actions.
- Quote Follow-Up Agents: Automate intelligent follow-up based on deal history, customer behavior, and sales outcomes.
- Call Intelligence: Extract objections, buying intent, competitive signals, and customer insights from recorded sales calls.
- Customer Expansion: Identify customers likely to reorder or expand and generate targeted outreach.
- Google Ads Optimization: Build controlled AI loops that use qualified leads, conversion data, and CRM outcomes to improve campaign performance.
- SEO & Website Optimization: Identify opportunities, recommend improvements, measure results, and continuously improve future decisions.
- Lifecycle Marketing: Identify reorders, referrals, reviews, expansion opportunities, and dormant accounts.
Over time, you’ll expand these systems into operations, fulfillment, finance, and other areas of the business.
What You’ll Do
- Build and deploy production AI agents and multi-step agentic workflows.
- Connect AI systems with CRM, advertising platforms, websites, analytics, email, call transcripts, and internal systems.
- Work with APIs, databases, webhooks, async queues, scheduled jobs, and event-driven workflows.
- Build agent infrastructure, tool registries, MCP servers, evaluations, testing, and observability.
- Design feedback loops that measure actual business outcomes and improve future agent decisions.
- Define human approval points, permissions, failure handling, audit trails, and escalation paths.
- Work directly with department leaders to turn loosely defined business problems into production systems.
- Own systems from architecture and implementation through deployment and continuous improvement.
Must-Haves
- Production experience building and deploying AI agents or multi-step agentic workflows.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs such as Claude, OpenAI, or similar.
- Strong experience with tool calling, function calling, structured outputs, and agent orchestration.
- Daily experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or comparable tools.
- Strong coding skills in Python, PHP, or a comparable backend language.
- Deep experience with API integrations, OAuth, webhooks, databases, and async workflows.
- Experience with testing, version control, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Ability to design evaluations and feedback loops for AI systems.
- Working knowledge of CRM, analytics, customer acquisition, websites, and sales funnels.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Self-directed and comfortable owning projects end-to-end.
Nice to Have
- HubSpot or CRM API experience.
- MCP server development.
- LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, Hermes, or similar agent tooling.
- Google Ads or Google Ads API experience.
- SEO or technical SEO experience.
- WordPress / WooCommerce experience.
- RAG, embeddings, or vector search.
- AWS experience.
- B2B Sales or Marketing Operations experience.

Position Details
Full-Time | Fully Remote | International Candidates Welcome
Compensation: $18–$25 USD/hour, depending on experience and location.
You’ll work closely with company and department leadership, with significant autonomy to build systems that directly impact measurable business results.
