Ownership & Leadership

• Embedded Leadership: Write production code, conduct design reviews, mentor engineers, and unblock sprint deliverables.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Daily collaboration with Okta Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams. Align with US-based product and engineering counterparts.
• Operational Excellence: Enforce observability, SLOs, and reliability standards for pod services.

Technical Qualifications

• Engineering Seniority: 8+ years of software engineering, with a track record of owning complex backend systems end-to-end.
• AI Platform Experience: 1-2+ years on LLM-era AI/ML platforms (LangChain, LangGraph, Bedrock, or equivalent) in a production context. Candidates with deeper pre-LLM ML backgrounds (TensorFlow, scikit-learn) who have made a clear and recent pivot to generative AI will also be considered.
• Python Excellence: 5+ years of expert-level Python for backend services and AI integration. This is the primary language for all backend and AI work.
• Agentic Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangChain and LangGraph for orchestrating multi-step, multi-agent workflows. LangSmith for evaluation and observability.
• Frontend Fluency: 3-4+ years of React and TypeScript. You must be able to meaningfully contribute to UI-layer code and review frontend work produced by your pod.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Proven experience with AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, OpenTofu/Terraform, and microservices at production scale.
• Security Mindset: Secure coding practices, auth/authz awareness, and data governance as default standards.
