Role Overview
Cambridge Spark is looking for an AI for Leadership Facilitator to deliver our “Gold standard” AI enablement programmes. You will have the exciting opportunity to deliver our new AI Opportunity Sprint, an apprenticeship unit funded by the Growth and Skills Levy that helps managers identify opportunities for AI in their organisation.
You’ll lead practical, hands-on workshops that empower managers to navigate AI strategy, procurement and governance, delivery and organisational transformation. A proportion of your time will consist of influencing the content you will deliver. Working across funded apprenticeships and corporate clients, you’ll ensure that all programmes meet high standards for learner engagement, applied workplace impact and real-world relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the AI Opportunity Sprint as your primary focus, facilitating programmes built for non-technical managers.
- Facilitate intensive, interactive sessions using breakouts, case studies, peer challenge and live debate, balancing knowledge-sharing with facilitated discussion so that learners learn from one another.
- Manage closed-cohort group dynamics effectively, maintaining an inclusive learning environment.
- Teach AI and automation concepts, capabilities and limitations in plain, accessible language to non-technical leaders.
- Facilitate conversations on AI governance, assurance, risk and crisis management, workforce impact, and vendor evaluation and procurement, helping learners navigate these complex and evolving areas.
- Lead sessions on the current UK regulatory landscape for AI, maintaining active horizon scanning to keep curriculum discussions up to date.
- Model confident, critical use of modern AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude), demonstrating effective prompting while teaching learners to rigorously interrogate and edit AI outputs rather than trust them implicitly.
- Maintain a candid, realistic stance on AI, holding the line on honesty about what AI can and cannot do, its workforce impact and where accountability ultimately sits.
- Deliver high-quality, interactive training through a blend of in-person workshops at client sites and sessions via virtual platforms, with the pedagogical flexibility to move seamlessly between the two.
- Partner with Product Managers to provide feedback on learning resources and utilise allocated time to refine learning activities, build practical scenarios, and keep materials updated with industry changes.
- Implement standardisation processes defined by the Quality Team and maintain expertise across AI governance, regulation and the modern AI tool landscape.
Candidate Specification
Essential
- Strong conceptual grasp of AI and automation concepts, capabilities, and limitations, with a proven ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical leadership audiences.
- Working knowledge of AI governance, assurance, procurement, vendor evaluation, risk/crisis management and workforce impact.
- Current, up-to-date knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape for AI and a commitment to ongoing horizon scanning.
- Exceptional facilitation skills with experience managing closed-cohort group dynamics, handling live debate, adjudicating disagreement and correcting misconceptions on the spot.
- Confident, critical user of generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Lovable, CoPilot, Gemini) with a focus on output interrogation and verification.
- A candid, realistic approach to AI capabilities, risks and organisational accountability.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to act as a "translator" between complex technical concepts and non-technical operational business staff.
Desirable
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience working in a commercial industry setting applying these specific management or governance concepts.
- A formal teaching or training qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) or substantial enterprise facilitation experience.
- AI-related governance qualifications (e.g. AIGP, AAIR, ISO42001)
Company Benefits:
- Pension with 4% matched contributions, opportunity to opt into salary sacrifice scheme
