Your day at NTT DATA
As the AI Consultant and Public Sector AI Lead for the Middle East and Africa, you will serve as a senior client-facing advisor within NTT DATA’s Global Public Sector AI Go-to-Market team. You will be responsible for identifying, shaping, and mobilising strategic AI transformation opportunities across government and public sector organisations, with an initial focus on the UAE and nearby markets.

You will engage senior client stakeholders as a trusted executive advisor, helping organisations define AI strategies, value cases, target operating models, governance frameworks, adoption approaches, and transformation roadmaps. Combining AI fluency, strategy consulting, and commercial leadership, you will help shape market demand and convert client priorities into qualified opportunities and successful engagements.

Working closely with AI architects, forward-deployed engineering teams, delivery specialists, sellers, technology partners, and regional and industry leaders, you will translate complex public sector challenges into practical AI solutions. You will lead executive workshops, develop business cases and ROI models, shape proposals and proof-of-concept plans, and support opportunities from initial qualification through mobilisation and transition into delivery.

This is a highly visible role within a fast-growing global AI practice. You will contribute to the continued evolution of NTT DATA’s AI offerings, bring regional client insights into the global business, and help build the company’s Public Sector AI presence across MEA. The role carries individual commercial and pipeline expectations while operating within a highly collaborative global team.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior AI advisor for Public Sector clients across the Middle East and Africa, engaging executive stakeholders, building trusted relationships, and shaping market demand.
• Identify AI transformation opportunities, client pain points, strategic priorities, and high-value use cases.
• Shape AI strategies, value cases, target operating models, governance frameworks, responsible AI approaches, adoption plans, and transformation roadmaps.
• Translate public sector priorities into practical AI solutions in partnership with architects, engineering teams, delivery specialists, sellers, and technology partners.
• Lead structured consulting activities, including executive workshops, stakeholder interviews, assessments, prioritisation exercises, and roadmap development.
• Develop proposals, business cases, ROI models, proof-of-concept plans, and executive-ready client materials.
• Lead and support opportunity qualification, deal shaping, solutioning, mobilisation, and transition into delivery.
• Connect AI use cases to operating model change, business and citizen outcomes, adoption requirements, and measurable enterprise value.
• Build qualified Public Sector AI pipeline and contribute toward individual and wider business commercial targets.
• Maintain accurate visibility of client conversations, opportunities, and pipeline activity using Salesforce and other relevant business tools.
• Work closely with technology and ecosystem partners to strengthen client propositions and support opportunity development.
• Reuse and enhance global GTM assets, offering content, credentials, delivery patterns, and client-facing narratives.
• Bring insights from regional client engagements back into the global Public Sector AI team to support the continued development of AI offerings.
• Remain current on generative AI, agentic AI, enterprise adoption, responsible AI, and relevant partner capabilities.

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

• 10+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, strategy, transformation, AI, data, analytics, or a related client-facing or industry role.
• At least 3 years of experience shaping or delivering AI, data science, machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Public Sector organisations in the UAE, supported by strong market relationships and an understanding of government priorities.
• Demonstrated success leading AI, data, or digital transformation initiatives within Public Sector environments.
• Strong strategy consulting capability across business model analysis, target operating model design, value-case development, transformation planning, and executive narrative development.
• Experience owning presales and GTM activities, including opportunity identification, qualification, solution shaping, proposal development, business-case creation, and executive-level deal reviews.
• Working knowledge of enterprise AI concepts, including large language models, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, machine learning lifecycles, data readiness, responsible AI, governance, and adoption.
• Strong executive communication, structured problem-solving, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and collaborative leadership skills.
• Commercial orientation and the ability to operate against individual sales, pipeline, utilisation, or billability expectations.
• Familiarity with cloud and AI platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Gemini, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Fluency in English, with Arabic-language capability strongly preferred.
• A background compatible with the security-clearance requirements of relevant government and defence-sector client engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. A master’s degree, MBA, data science qualification, or relevant AI/ML certification would be advantageous.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 15% across the Middle East and Africa.
