Requirements Job Overview The AI Learning Coordinator will support work at the intersection of AI and teaching and learning as part of Georgetown’s Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS). The person in this role will explore and test tools and support workshops and other engagements for faculty to explore how AI tools may impact their teaching and their students’ learning. The Coordinator will not only focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of AI but also the ethical and moral implications of AI use in educational settings, specifically in the context of a Jesuit university. The Coordinator will also be involved in other CNDLS signature programs, including an annual teaching conference, with a focus on how technology can help support research-based learning. Duties may include but are not limited to: Conducting data analysis and reporting across programs Coordinating and facilitating student focus groups; Assisting with training and faculty development Supporting the administration of the Applied AI Microcredential course (including the Foundations of AI sister course) Collaborating across the organization to coordinate events, scheduling, and communications Engaging with and researching AI as an emerging technology Georgetown University comprises two unique campuses in the nation’s capital. Work Interactions The position reports to the Director of Digital Learning. As this role works with individuals across CNDLS, the AI Learning Coordinator will also report with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Faculty Initiatives. As a member of various faculty-facing project teams, the Coordinator regularly interfaces with other CNDLS staff and faculty to support them in their project work. They also coordinate with other departments/entities on campus as needed. Requirements and Qualifications Resume and cover letter Bachelor’s degree 2-3 years of experience required (or equivalent combination of education and work experience), preferably in an office environment Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in generative AI tools, especially in educational settings Highly organized team player with proven time-management skills Ability to prioritize and work across multiple projects and teams with possible competing deadlines Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of constituents Strong writing and oral communication skills Conscientious, collaborative, and positive approach in dynamic and busy work environment Data analysis and reporting Able to work independently and integrate feedback from multiple sources Comfort with ambiguity and adaptability to change Proficiency with various educational technologies Preferred Qualifications Awareness of and interest in current issues and debates in higher education and technology, with knowledge of the literature on college teaching and learning Master’s degree or equivalent experience Facilitation experience Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as HYBRID .
