AI Native Engineer / Architect | R&D | Hybrid_Rotterdam | around €80,000 per year
Do you think like an architect but still enjoy writing code yourself? Are you an experienced software engineer who uses AI tools daily to work faster and better, and would you like to use your skills for a cause that really matters, namely effective cancer treatments? My client is looking for a hands-on AI Native Engineer / Architect: someone who designs solid systems, builds them, and uses AI tools at every step to speed up the work.
About
My client is a mission-driven foundation building a data platform to support better validation of medical cancer treatments. The idea behind it is a data flywheel: more data leads to better analyses, and better analyses lead to stronger validation of treatments.
Why now
Moving from vision to execution. The cloud infrastructure is in place, the GxP-compliant development processes are set up, and there is a clear functional backlog ready to be built. Funding is budgeted. What's missing is two senior engineers to turn that backlog into a working product platform.
What you'll do
- Design and build core parts of the platform, from architecture to production code
- Use AI tools as a core part of how you design, code, test and document
- Work within GxP-compliant development processes in a regulated life-sciences environment
- Help shape technical choices and engineering practices in a small, growing R&D team
Who you are
- A senior engineer / architect with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
- You combine architectural thinking with hands-on coding and are happy to do both
- Language-agnostic: you pick the right tool for the job. Experience with Python, C#, Java and/or React is a plus
- You're motivated by the mission and want your work to contribute to better healthcare
What we offer
- A meaningful role where your work directly supports medical and cancer research
- A one-year contract with a salary of around €80,000 per year
- A hybrid way of working, with 2 days a week at the office
- Real ownership and impact in a small, mission-driven team at an exciting stage
