Job Responsibilities

Job Description

Lead the strategy, creation and scaling of a new generation of AI-powered products for the Clinical Research Organization (CRO) ecosystem. This role will define product vision and portfolio strategy while partnering deeply with AI/ML, GenAI and engineering teams to turn emerging technologies into secure, scalable and commercially viable products.

The role will work across clinical domain experts, customers, product, AI/ML, data, engineering and commercial leadership to build differentiated products from 0→1 and scale them globally.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Business Strategy

• Define product vision, strategy, portfolio and multi-year roadmap for AI-enabled CRO products.
• Identify high-value opportunities across clinical development and CRO workflows and translate them into differentiated product propositions.
• Establish product-market fit, success metrics, business cases and commercialization strategies.
• Drive build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions for critical technology capabilities.

AI & GenAI Product Engineering

• Identify and productize opportunities across Generative AI, agentic AI, ML, predictive analytics, intelligent automation and AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner closely with AI/ML and engineering leaders on AI architecture, model selection, RAG, agents, evaluation, LLMOps/MLOps, data pipelines and productionization.
• Establish principles for responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, evaluation and human oversight in regulated clinical environments.
• Translate rapidly evolving AI capabilities into reliable, scalable and measurable customer outcomes.

0→1 Product Development

• Lead products from customer discovery and problem validation through MVP, product-market fit, launch and scale.
• Build rapid experimentation and feedback loops with customers, clinical experts and engineering teams.
• Balance speed of innovation with enterprise-grade reliability, security, compliance and scalability.

Customer & Market Leadership

• Engage senior pharmaceutical, biotech and CRO stakeholders to understand unmet needs and validate product opportunities.
• Convert customer insights, market trends and competitive intelligence into product strategy.
• Partner with commercial teams on positioning, pricing, packaging and go-to-market.

Product Organization & Cross-functional Leadership

• Establish scalable product management practices and operating mechanisms for the new business.
• Build and mentor a high-performing product organization as the portfolio grows.
• Create alignment across product, engineering, AI/data, clinical, commercial and executive stakeholders.
• Drive a culture of experimentation, customer obsession, technical excellence and measurable outcomes.

Success Measures

• A differentiated, scalable portfolio of AI-powered CRO products.
• Successful 0→1 launches and measurable product-market fit.
• Meaningful customer adoption and measurable business value.
• AI/GenAI capabilities successfully transitioned from experimentation to production-grade products.
• Strong integration of clinical expertise, proprietary data, AI and engineering capabilities.
• A scalable product organization capable of supporting a global business.

Experience

• 15 years of experience leading technology products, platforms or product businesses in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven 0→1 and product-scaling track record.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, agentic systems, data platforms and modern software engineering.
• Experience partnering deeply with engineering and technical leadership on architecture and product development.
• Strong customer discovery, product strategy, commercialization and executive communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, CRO, regulated industries or other data-intensive environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and build products, teams and operating models from the ground up
