AI Scenario & Task Designer (Remote Contract)

Role Overview

As an AI Scenario & Task Designer, you will create immersive digital environments and realistic workflows that simulate everyday professional and personal challenges. These scenarios will be used to evaluate and improve how AI agents handle tasks such as scheduling conflicts, information overload, and competing priorities.

This role blends creative storytelling, systems thinking, and analytical evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design detailed personas and simulated digital environments (e.g., email, messaging apps, calendars, file systems)

• Create complex, multi-step tasks that test AI reasoning and decision-making

• Run AI agents through your scenarios and evaluate their performance

• Provide structured hints and guidance to improve AI outputs

• Document tasks, outcomes, and evaluations clearly using tools like Airtable and internal platforms

What We’re Looking For

• Strong written communication and exceptional attention to detail

• Creative thinker with the ability to design layered, realistic scenarios

• Comfortable working with structured tools (e.g., Airtable, JSON editors, AI platforms)

• Ability to identify inconsistencies and assess information critically

• Self-motivated with strong time management skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least 2 years of professional experience

Nice to Have

• Background in writing (copywriting, UX writing, journalism, content strategy, creative writing)

• Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders (e.g., project management, consulting, client success)

• Experience in world-building or simulation design (e.g., game design, curriculum design, UX research)

• Familiarity with technical tools or data workflows (e.g., JSON, Jira, Asana, SQL, Python)
