AI Security Engineer (Agentic AI / Cloud Security) - Hybrid Lisbon (1-2 days/week office) ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a Senior AI Security Engineer to join a leading international organization undergoing a large-scale AI transformation across multiple European markets. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in securing the adoption of Agentic AI, AI-driven platforms, and advanced automation initiatives within a complex, multinational environment. You will become part of a central AI function responsible for enabling innovation while ensuring that security, compliance, and governance remain embedded throughout the AI lifecycle. This role offers a combination of hands-on technical work and strategic influence, working closely with engineering teams, security leaders, data protection specialists, and senior stakeholders across Europe. PROJECT & CONTEXT The organization is building a centralized AI ecosystem consisting of specialized AI delivery hubs and an Agentic AI platform that will enable multiple business units and countries to develop, deploy, and operate AI-powered solutions securely and at scale. As the AI Security Engineer, you will be responsible for embedding security-by-design principles across AI use cases, intelligent agents, APIs, integrations, and platform components. You will work on security controls related to access management, secrets management, monitoring, logging, sandboxing, third-party integrations, and AI-specific risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, excessive permissions, and model supply chain vulnerabilities. This is a highly collaborative role involving close interaction with AI Engineering, Security Architecture, Data Protection, Risk, and Operational Security teams. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required) 7+ years of experience in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or Information Security. Experience supporting digital transformation, platform engineering, or enterprise technology programs. Strong knowledge of Cloud Security principles and secure cloud architectures. Solid experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM). Hands-on experience with Application Security and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (Secure SDLC). Experience with Threat Modeling, Security Architecture, and Risk Assessment for distributed systems. Knowledge of AI/ML and Agentic AI security concepts, including: Prompt Injection Data Leakage Prevention Agent Identity and Authorization Tool and API Security AI Model Supply Chain Security Familiarity with: OWASP LLM Top 10 MITRE ATLAS NIST AI Risk Management Framework (NIST AI RMF) Experience implementing security controls for APIs, integrations, monitoring, logging, secrets management, and external services. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams and countries. Fluent English (minimum B2 level). NICE TO HAVE (Preferred) Experience working in multinational or multi-country organizations. Previous exposure to logistics, transportation, retail, or financial services environments. Hands-on experience with AI and LLM platforms such as: Azure AI OpenAI Anthropic Google Vertex AI LangChain Exposure to MLOps platforms and AI operational frameworks. Experience conducting or participating in AI security assessments or red-teaming exercises. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent. Knowledge of additional European languages. Experience working with enterprise governance, compliance, and data protection initiatives.
