About the Business Area/Department:

Airport Management Solutions (AMS) supports solutions and operational capabilities used in airport environments. The organization works across product delivery, engineering, service management, operational support, quality, and continuous improvement. The internship will help AMS explore practical and responsible uses of Artificial Intelligence to improve knowledge access, automate repetitive activities, support data-driven decisions, and increase engineering and operational efficiency.

Summary of the Internship:

· Design and prototype AI-enabled solutions for high-value AMS use cases, such as knowledge search, incident and problem analysis, PTR categorization, KPI reporting, meeting and document summarization, and action tracking.

· Help Amadeus reduce manual effort, improve access to operational knowledge, identify recurring patterns, and accelerate fact-based decision-making while following applicable security, privacy, and responsible-AI requirements.

· Work with the AMS manager and subject-matter experts to understand business needs, prepare datasets, build proof-of-concepts, test solutions with users, document outcomes, and recommend which initiatives should progress to an MVP or production assessment.

In this role you’ll:

· Identify and prioritize AI and automation opportunities with AMS product, engineering, service-management, quality, and operational stakeholders.

· Build and evaluate prototypes using Python, SQL, REST APIs, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, Power Automate, Power BI, and Git, according to the selected use case and available access.

· Explore retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, information extraction, classification, summarization, and basic predictive analytics for approved internal content.

· Prepare, clean, document, and validate datasets; define measurable acceptance criteria and compare prototype outputs with expected results.

· Develop potential solutions such as an AMS knowledge assistant, a PTR intelligence assistant, a PMR/IMR summarizer, and delivery-predictability insights.

· Collaborate in a team environment while independently owning assigned analysis, development, testing, documentation, and demonstrations.

· Present progress, findings, limitations, risks, and measurable benefits to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Produce reusable technical documentation, source code, test evidence, user guidance, and a final recommendation for each initiative.

About the ideal candidate:

· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

· Knowledge of Python and data analysis

· Familiarity with SQL, Git, APIs, cloud services, generative AI, machine learning, Power BI, Power Automate, or Copilot Studio is preferred.

· Curious and hands-on problem solver with structured analytical thinking, collaborative behavior, autonomous learning, attention to data quality, and the ability to explain technical results to non-technical audiences.

· Good English communication skills.
