Airline Account Manager (Paraguay/Brazil)
Job Description
The Airline Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing commercial activities for a new airline client, with primary focus on the Paraguay market and support to Brazil when required.
This position will act as a key liaison between the airline client, sales teams, travel trade partners and relevant stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, commercial alignment and consistent execution of the agreed strategy.
The role requires strong commercial experience in the airline or travel industry, fluency in Spanish, advanced English communication skills, and availability for regular business travel to Paraguay, approximately once per month or up to twice per month according to business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a liaison between Sales, travel agencies, trade partners and the airline client, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Develop, monitor and support the achievement of sales targets for the Paraguay market, with support to Brazil when needed.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, consolidators, TMCs, OTAs and other relevant trade partners.
• Identify business opportunities and support sales growth, market visibility and client positioning in the assigned market.
• Negotiate, implement and manage corporate and trade agreements, according to the client’s commercial strategy.
• Plan and execute strategic sales initiatives, including client visits, sales calls, campaigns, trainings, events and marketing actions.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, flight performance and load factors, proposing tactical commercial actions to improve results.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales performance, market insights, business opportunities and action plans.
• Participate in sales meetings to review performance, address challenges and align priorities with internal teams and the airline client.
• Represent the airline client and AVIAREPS in trade shows, industry events, partner meetings and high-level client interactions.
• Collaborate closely with the airline client and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of the agreed scope and business objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Communications, Aviation or a related field.
• Fluent Spanish is required.
• Advanced English is required, with ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken interactions.
• Proven experience in airline sales, account management, aviation, tourism, travel trade or related commercial roles.
• Strong knowledge of the Paraguay travel trade market; knowledge of the Brazilian market is a plus.
• Established network within the tourism sector, including consolidators, tour operators, OTAs, TMCs and travel agencies.
• Strong negotiation, communication, writing and presentation skills.
• Highly organized, commercially driven and results-oriented.
• Ability to manage partners and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Availability for regular business travel to Paraguay, approximately once per month or up to twice per month according to business needs.
• Proficiency in GDS is required; additional airline systems knowledge is a plus.
