About our client
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Amazon Catalog Specialist to manage and optimize product catalogs across multiple client accounts. This is a high-responsibility role for an Amazon expert who can confidently handle 5,000+ SKUs across multiple brands and operate independently from day one.
We are looking for a true Amazon catalog expert—not someone who needs extensive training or step-by-step guidance. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience managing complex Amazon catalogs and understands how to maintain catalog health, resolve issues, optimize listings, and efficiently manage large volumes of SKUs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Amazon catalogs across multiple client accounts, totaling 5,000+ SKUs.
Create, update, and optimize Amazon product listings, including titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend search terms, attributes, and product information.
Manage large-scale catalog updates and bulk listing changes using Amazon templates, flat files, and other catalog management tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve Amazon catalog issues, including suppressed listings, stranded inventory, listing errors, ASIN conflicts, variation issues, parent/child relationships, and browse node/category problems.
Manage and optimize product variations, ensuring correct parent-child relationships and accurate product attributes.
Identify and resolve duplicate ASINs, incorrect product data, category issues, and other catalog inconsistencies.
Monitor catalog health and proactively identify issues before they impact sales or account performance.
Handle Amazon detail page updates and work with Seller Support when escalation is required.
Submit and manage cases with Amazon Seller Support and effectively communicate with Amazon when resolving complex catalog issues.
Ensure product data is accurate, complete, consistent, and compliant with Amazon requirements.
Perform bulk catalog audits and identify opportunities for cleanup, optimization, and standardization.
Work across multiple brands and product categories while maintaining each client's unique catalog requirements and brand standards.
Coordinate with account managers, brand teams, and other internal stakeholders to implement catalog changes accurately and efficiently.
Maintain organized documentation and processes for catalog management across clients.
Stay current with Amazon catalog policies, listing requirements, category-specific requirements, and platform changes.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on Amazon catalog management experience preferred.
Proven experience managing thousands of SKUs, ideally 5,000+ SKUs across multiple brands or accounts.
Extensive experience with Amazon Seller Central.
Strong expertise in Amazon catalog management, listing creation, variation management, flat files, and bulk uploads.
Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex Amazon catalog issues.
Strong understanding of Amazon's catalog structure, including ASINs, SKUs, parent/child variations, attributes, browse nodes, product types, and listing contributions.
Experience working with Amazon Seller Support and resolving difficult catalog cases.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience working with large datasets.
Highly detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy when managing large volumes of product data.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage catalogs across multiple clients simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Comfortable working independently and making informed decisions without constant supervision.
Must be able to hit the ground running with minimal to no training.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with an Amazon agency or consulting firm managing multiple client accounts.
Experience managing catalogs with 5,000–10,000+ SKUs.
Experience with Amazon Vendor Central in addition to Seller Central.
Familiarity with Amazon bulk operations, flat-file troubleshooting, and catalog reconciliation.
Experience with Amazon listing/catalog tools and third-party Amazon software.
Experience working with international Amazon marketplaces is a plus.
Strong understanding of Amazon SEO and how catalog structure impacts discoverability and sales.
What We're Looking For
We need a killer Amazon catalog operator who has already seen and solved the problems that come with managing large, complex Amazon catalogs.
This person should be able to take ownership of 5,000+ SKUs across multiple clients, diagnose catalog problems independently, execute bulk updates accurately, and resolve issues without needing extensive training or hand-holding.
If you've managed large Amazon catalogs before and can step in and immediately take ownership, we'd love to hear from you.
