Amazon Channel Manager

About Mira

Mira is a San Francisco-based hormonal health company providing integrative care and hormonal testing for over 300,000 customers. In 2023, we were recognized by Inc. 5000 as America's fastest-growing femtech company.

Mira’s breakthrough innovation was creating the market’s only FDA-compliant at-home hormone monitor with quantitative testing technology. From the beginning, our mission has been to make hormone data accessible and meaningful — so women can understand their bodies and make confident health decisions at every stage of life, from cycle health and family planning to hormonal imbalances and the menopause transition.

We are committed to improving real health outcomes through personalized insights, cutting-edge technology, and science-backed data — turning hormone information into practical guidance for everyday wellbeing.

About the position

We are looking for a Head of Amazon to take full ownership of Mira's Amazon business and significantly accelerate profitable growth across the US, Canada, and UK.

This is a commercial leadership role with end-to-end accountability for the Amazon channel, including revenue, P&L, advertising, conversion, customer experience, operations, and product assortment.

You will own the Amazon strategy, build and execute the commercial growth plan, manage the channel's financial performance, and lead the team responsible for day-to-day execution.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Initially, you will personally manage Amazon advertising, including Sponsored Ads and DSP, while overseeing the Amazon Marketing/CRO and Operations functions. As the business scales, you will build out the team, including hiring and managing a dedicated Amazon Advertising Manager.

You will have the authority to set channel priorities, manage approved budgets, coordinate resources, and make commercial decisions within agreed financial and brand guidelines.

You will work closely with Growth, Logistic, Product, Customer Experience, and central Operations to ensure that Amazon operates as a high-performing, profitable business within Mira's broader omnichannel strategy.

If you are excited about building and owning a fast-growing Amazon business while making a meaningful impact on women's health, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

1. Own the Amazon business and P&L

  • Take end-to-end accountability for Amazon revenue, growth, contribution margin, and profitability across the US, Canada, and UK.
  • Build and own the annual and quarterly Amazon business plans, including revenue forecasts, advertising budgets, promotional investments, and profitability targets.
  • Manage channel economics, including advertising spend, Amazon fees, fulfillment costs, returns, discounts, and contribution margin.
  • Identify the biggest growth opportunities and profitability constraints, prioritize investments, and make data-driven commercial decisions.
  • Establish clear channel KPIs, reporting, and performance reviews, with accountability for results.

2. Build and execute the Amazon growth strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Amazon growth roadmap across advertising, conversion, organic visibility, customer experience, operations, and product assortment.
  • Identify opportunities to grow new-customer acquisition, kit sales, repeat purchases, and market share.
  • Balance short-term revenue growth with sustainable profitability and long-term organic performance.
  • Build and manage the promotional calendar, product launches, and market-specific growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate Amazon's commercial strategy with Mira's DTC business to ensure alignment on positioning, pricing, promotions, and customer experience.

3. Personally manage Amazon advertising initially

  • Take direct ownership of Amazon advertising strategy and hands-on execution, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display where available, and DSP.
  • Independently audit, restructure, and optimize existing campaigns, taking advertising management fully in-house.
  • Manage targeting, bids, budgets, keyword strategy, exclusions, campaign structure, and creative testing.
  • Optimize advertising investments based on incremental growth, TACoS, customer acquisition efficiency, and contribution margin — not ROAS alone.
  • Develop a scalable advertising approach and, as the business grows, hire and manage a dedicated Amazon Advertising Manager.

4. Own Amazon conversion, content, and merchandising

  • Lead the Amazon Marketing/CRO function, setting priorities for listing optimization, search visibility, conversion, and merchandising.
  • Oversee product titles, descriptions, imagery, A+ Content, Brand Store, and search optimization.
  • Establish a structured experimentation program to improve conversion rates and organic performance.
  • Own the Amazon reviews and ratings strategy, ensuring compliance with Amazon policies.
  • Use customer insights, reviews, search data, and performance analysis to continuously improve product presentation and the shopping experience.
  • Partner with the central Brand and Creative teams to deliver high-quality, consistent content.

5. Lead Amazon operations and ensure execution excellence

  • Directly manage the Amazon Operations Manager, with accountability for the operational performance of the Amazon channel.
  • Ensure product availability, effective FBA inventory management, replenishment planning, and operational readiness for launches and promotions.
  • Oversee Seller Central operations, account health, listing issues, fulfillment-related problems, and escalations.
  • Establish operational KPIs, processes, and clear ownership of recurring issues.
  • Work closely with central Operations and Supply Chain teams on inventory planning, logistics, and fulfillment execution.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks that affect revenue, profitability, and customer experience.

6. Own Amazon customer experience and product assortment

  • Monitor customer feedback, return reasons, product reviews, and recurring support issues to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Customer Experience and Product teams to improve product education, reduce avoidable returns, and address customer concerns.
  • Develop recommendations for Amazon assortment, bundles, pricing, and product launches based on demand, customer behavior, and unit economics.
  • Own the commercial performance of the Amazon product portfolio, working with Product and Operations to execute assortment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for geographic expansion and new product growth.

7. Lead and develop the Amazon team

  • Manage the Amazon Marketing/CRO Manager and Amazon Operations Manager, establishing clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and priorities.
  • Build a high-performing, accountable team with strong execution discipline and commercial awareness.
  • Establish weekly performance reviews, monthly business reviews, and quarterly planning processes.
  • Identify organizational and capability gaps, develop existing team members, and hire additional specialists as the channel scales.
  • Initially remain hands-on with advertising while progressively building a team capable of executing the Amazon strategy.

8. Drive cross-functional alignment and commercial decision-making

  • Serve as the single accountable owner of Amazon performance within Mira.
  • Collaborate with Growth, Brand, Finance, Operations, Product, and Customer Experience to align resources and execute channel priorities.
  • Present channel performance, financial results, growth opportunities, risks, and investment recommendations to leadership.
  • Resolve competing priorities within the Amazon team and escalate cross-functional trade-offs when needed.
  • Build reliable reporting and operating processes that support profitable growth across all Amazon markets.

Requirements

  1. 6+ years of experience in Amazon / marketplace e-commerce, including significant responsibility for growing and managing a consumer brand's Amazon business.
  2. Demonstrated ownership of a multi-million-dollar Amazon P&L, with measurable results in revenue growth, contribution margin, advertising efficiency, and profitability.
  3. Recent, hands-on Amazon advertising expertise. Must be capable of independently managing and optimizing Sponsored Ads and DSP campaigns, including strategy, campaign setup, bidding, targeting, budget allocation, and performance analysis.
  4. Strong Amazon commercial and financial acumen. Deep understanding of Amazon revenue drivers, advertising economics, referral and fulfillment fees, returns, pricing, and contribution profitability.
  5. Experience managing people and cross-functional execution, ideally including Amazon advertising, marketplace content/CRO, and marketplace operations specialists.
  6. Strong Amazon conversion and merchandising expertise, including listing SEO, A+ Content, Brand Store optimization, organic ranking, customer reviews, and structured experimentation.
  7. Solid operational understanding of Amazon Seller Central and FBA, including inventory planning, replenishment, account health, operational troubleshooting, and marketplace compliance.
  8. Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution. Comfortable personally operating advertising campaigns today while building processes, developing a team, and delegating as the business scales.
  9. Excellent analytical, prioritization, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex performance data into clear commercial decisions and action plans.
  10. Experience working with Amazon US is essential. Experience across Canada and the UK is strongly preferred.
  11. Experience in high-growth DTC, health, wellness, consumer technology, or other considered-purchase consumer brands is a strong advantage.
  12. Fluent written and spoken English.
