Job Description This is a remote position. AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Fraud Configuration Specialist is a specialized technical-compliance role focused on designing, tuning, and maintaining the automated systems used to detect financial crime. Unlike an investigator who reviews alerts, a configuration specialist works "under the hood" of transaction monitoring software to optimize detection parameters, reduce false positives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Configure AML and fraud platforms (e.g., Navaera, Featurespace) Analyze false positive rates and adjust rules to improve the efficiency and accuracy of AML alerts, reducing the noise for investigators. Translate new AML regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, PATRIOT Act, OFAC) into technical requirements and system rules Conduct testing and validation of configurations Requirements 4–8 years of experience in AML/fraud systems Strong knowledge of AML transaction monitoring systems (e.g., Verafin, Actimize) and data analytics tools.
