ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an AMS Consultant (Application Management Services Consultant) to join an international IT Operations team supporting enterprise systems within a highly regulated financial environment. In this role, you will ensure the stability, availability, and smooth operation of business-critical IT services by proactively monitoring systems, responding to incidents, executing operational procedures, and collaborating with multiple technical teams. You'll play a key role in maintaining secure IT operations while contributing to continuous service improvements. RESPONSIBILITIES IT Operations & Monitoring: Monitor the availability and health of enterprise applications and IT systems. Monitor services, transactions, certificates, scheduled jobs, and selected mailboxes. Ensure continuous transparency of the overall IT system landscape. Perform regular operational health checks and system validations. Incident Response: Respond immediately to system warnings, incidents, and error messages. Perform mitigation and error containment activities. Execute operational procedures, including: Incident analysis and evaluation Communication with stakeholders Ticket creation and management Escalation to relevant support teams Activation of on-call services when required Knowledge transfer between support teams Supporting system changes and transports Participate in coordinated response activities during security incidents. Operational Excellence: Execute routine operational tasks to ensure secure and stable IT services. Review operational dashboards, monitoring tools, and ticket queues. Support daily, monthly, and year-end operational processing activities. Maintain and execute Operating Task Control procedures. Follow and continuously improve operational documentation. Document all completed activities using client-approved tools. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with Service Desk, Major Incident Management, and Operations teams. Participate in maintenance windows, release weekends, and technical implementations. Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives. Support organizational and technical changes across the IT landscape. REQUIREMENTS German language skills (minimum B2 , preferably C1 ). English language skills (minimum B2 ). Experience in IT Operations, Application Support, Service Desk, or Application Management Services (AMS). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented mindset. Ability to work in a rotating shift schedule. Willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and operational processes. Ability to provide (or obtain) a certificate of good conduct, as required for work within the financial sector. Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice. Nice-to-have ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4). Experience with enterprise monitoring tools. Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments. Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. Experience working with incident management and operational procedures.
