Cognicatus develops high-performance IPs and chips for AI on cutting-edge process nodes. We are a small, fast-moving team where every engineer has a direct hand in what ends up on silicon.
We are now looking for an Analog and Mixed-signal Layout Engineer to turn complex circuit designs into high-performance silicon
What you will do
- Lead full-custom layout of high-speed analog and mixed-signal blocks in advanced process nodes (<7 nm)
- Develop layout strategies for matching, parasitics, noise, shielding, and signal integrity
- Partner closely with circuit designers to turn performance requirements into robust physical implementations
- Review and approve floorplans for analog IP and its integration into top-level designs
- Develop and establish ways of working: layout methodologies, flows, and best practices that scale as we grow
- Own DRC, LVS, and extraction through tape-out
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in full-custom analog/mixed-signal layout
- Experience in FinFET and GAA is a strong plus
- Experience with high speed design (SerDes/RF/etc.) is a strong plus
- Strong written and spoken English
- Good communication skills – you will be working closely with designers every day
Why Cognicatus?
You will work on silicon where performance, power, and area are pushed to the limit – and where the architecture you define becomes the product. Teamwork is of high importance at Cognicatus: we share knowledge openly and good ideas win regardless of who they come from.
We are based in Linköping, Sweden, but this role can also be done remotely – what matters is the work, not where you sit.
If you want to shape the next generation of AI compute silicon from the ground up, we would love to hear from you.
📍 Teknikringen 9, Linköping, Sweden – remote/hybrid work possible
