Job Description:

Position Summary

The Analyst will perform comprehensive market research on the global media and advertising marketplace. This role is central to understanding advertising trends, estimating market performance, and pivotal in delivering strategic insights that enable both internal teams and external subscribers to maintain a competitive marketplace advantage.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze advertising market trends across a portfolio of 20+ global markets and 10+ media categories, with the US advertising market as one of the core focuses
  • Track the growth of ad revenues among top media companies across digital, television, publishing, radio, cinema, direct mail and out-of-home (OOH) media
  • Analyze and understand how key market drivers, including audience trends, media cost inflation, macroeconomic conditions and emerging technologies, impact advertising spending and market dynamics
  • Identify and track spending trends across various client categories including retail, automotive, finance, and other key verticals
  • Present data-driven insights in formats tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collect advertising spend data from various internal and external sources to build, maintain, and update comprehensive databases
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all data across multiple platforms and reporting systems
  • Maintain strong working relationships with a global network of Omnicom agency colleagues across the United States and international markets
  • Exchange data, insights, and market intelligence with research, investment and strategy teams throughout the organization
  • Communicate findings through written reports, presentations, and data visualizations
  • Support the production of Omnicom's Global Market Intelligence publications and contribute to the continual development of new products, tools and reporting capabilities
  • Help identify commercial opportunities through analysis of sector trends and competitive activity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Sociology, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Superior numerical ability with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data for non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct desk research and analyze market information from multiple sources
  • Experience managing databases and maintaining data accuracy and integrity
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of advertising, media, and marketing landscapes
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across organizations
  • Experience analyzing market trends or competitive landscapes
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and identify meaningful trends and patterns





$66,500 to $70,000



Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
