About the roleCvent’s Corporate Development team serves a critical function by driving inorganic growth to supportthe company’s long-term strategic goals. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and M&A execution, theteam partners closely with senior leadership across every department at Cvent in the full acquisitionlifecycle including sourcing and identification, business case formulation, financial analysis, valuationnegotiation, due diligence, and closing. While we rely on structured workflows curated through a strongtrack record of successful acquisitions, we maintain the flexibility to adapt to complex situations throughcreative problem solving. In a rapidly evolving Event Management technology landscape, it takes ateam of superstars to sustain Cvent’s competitive advantage through M&A.We are looking to hire a full-time Corporate Development Analyst based in Cvent’s Gurgaon office whowill report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Development, to support the full M&A lifecycle fromsourcing to closing. You will serve as the junior member of a lean high-performing team and will quicklygain exposure to Cvent's global senior management.

In This Role, You Will:

▪ Assist in the identification and preliminary analysis of potential acquisition candidates.▪ Perform detailed analysis on potential acquisitions, including a review of historical 3-statementtrends, detailed P&L and cash flow forecasting, customer retention, and bottoms-up cost builds▪ Liaise with department leads as the central project manager of due diligence workstreams,including data-room coordination, milestone tracking, and checklist management.▪ Own the Corporate Development team’s market landscape database and monitor keydevelopments.▪ Ad-hoc special projects. Examples include data analysis requested by Cvent executives, marketresearch, board presentations, and financing initiatives.

Here's What You Need:

▪ An interest in sales compensation and a desire to work in a high energy, fast paced environment▪ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, ComputerScience, Engineering, or other relevant fields▪ 2-5 years of work experience in corporate development/ M&A, investment banking, managementconsulting, private equity, venture capital or other relevant fields▪ Proficiency in 3-statement modeling, M&A valuation analysis techniques (DCF, multiples, etc.),and rigorous analysis of large complex datasets▪ Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint and AI tools▪ Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication and presentation skills▪ Additionally, the following Pluses will make your application stand out:▪ Prior experience in SaaS, and/or strong familiarity with SaaS retention metrics and Revenuerecognition▪ Prior hands-on M&A live deal experience, particularly due diligence and financial analysis▪ Experience working with, and/or presenting to, senior executives (internally or client-side)Recruitment Scam Notice: Beware of recruitment scams.
