Position Overview

Reporting to the Lead DBA, Exploration, the Data Systems Analyst plays a key role by working with Exploration team leads to support the effective operation, governance, and continuous improvement of exploration data systems and workflows. As the organization advances its digital transformation and AI strategy, this role will support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, automation initiatives, advanced analytics solutions, and AI-enabled workflows. The position will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure that exploration data is structured, accessible, and AI-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Exploration team leads in the delivery of data, systems, and technology initiatives.
  • Support the administration and integration of exploration databases, applications, and digital workflows to ensure seamless data flow, system interoperability, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain data quality, governance, and information standards across multiple sites.
  • Assist with the implementation of automation, analytics, and AI initiatives.
  • Maintain reporting, dashboards, and data products.
  • Provide technical support and training to site and corporate teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital innovation.
  • Other related duties as required, including travel (up to 30%).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in similar exploration data, systems, or technology role(s).
  • Professional background in geology, geoscience, or mineral exploration.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently research, learn, and apply new technologies, tools,
  • and processes.
  • Experience administering and supporting exploration databases, applications, and digital
  • workflows.
  • Experience integrating systems and managing data flows between exploration platforms and
  • business applications.
  • Familiarity with T-SQL and Python for querying, analyzing, managing and reporting
  • exploration data is an asset.
  • Experience with Power BI, dashboard development, and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with GIS and spatial data management.
  • Experience following and contributing to data management standards, protocols, and
  • procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with
  • employees, contractors, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training programs is considered an asset.
  • Spanish language skills are considered an asset.

The salary range offered for this role is $85,000-$95,000 USD. The salary range is a good-faith estimate. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Coeur Mining will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Coeur Mining.
