Role Responsibilities
Western Union is seeking a detail-oriented, execution-focused Analyst to join our Global Know Your Customer (GKYC) team. Reporting to the Manager of KYC, in this role you will help drive oversight processes and enhance overall program effectiveness, leveraging your ability to analyze compliance and transaction data to identify and escalate gaps, resolve process weaknesses, and improve the quality of the KYC Program. You will also collaborate across business groups to solve complex problems related to the application and enforcement of KYC requirements around the globe. This involves working cross-functionally to understand KYC needs and regulatory obligations around the world as you help ensure execution of the Global KYC Program.
- Analyze data and metrics related to the Global KYC Framework to assess the effectiveness of controls and ensure processes are operating as designed.
- Evaluate end-to-end customer identification and verification processes for compliance with KYC requirements and regulatory expectations.
- Identify, document, and escalate control gaps, process deficiencies, and potential compliance issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Review KYC data in the Universal Customer Database to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Analyze Customer Risk Scoring Model outputs, assess data quality and performance, and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
- Partner with Compliance, Technology, and business teams to support the design, implementation, and execution of KYC-related initiatives and projects.
- Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, remediation efforts, and other initiatives impacting the Global KYC Program.
- Manage and contribute to projects involving regional compliance requirements, KYC enhancements, and other strategic or operational priorities as assigned.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred but may be substituted for relevant work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and work independently within a framework of guidelines and accountability.
- 3+ years of experience in AML compliance or a comparable field.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing data, metrics, or reporting to assess controls, risks, or operational effectiveness.
- Experience reviewing customer identification, verification, and due diligence mechanisms and processes.
- Experience identifying, documenting, and helping to resolve compliance, operational or control-related issues.
- Experience working with customer databases, case management systems, or compliance technology platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite tools, including MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Visio is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, CFE is a plus.

Salary
The annual base salary range is $70,000 to $82,000 USD per year. Total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
