Rowe Price, our associates are empowered to do meaningful work that supports long-term client outcomes and reflects our core principles of integrity, collaboration, accountability, and excellence. This role sits at the center of the firm’s Middle Office trade management function, supporting derivatives, private placements, and discretionary mutual fund trading. It offers the opportunity to work across the full trade lifecycle, partner closely with front office teams and external providers, and contribute to daily risk management and operational oversight. This position is well suited for a professional who enjoys ownership, values strong controls, seeks opportunities to improve processes, and is motivated by helping scale operations to support new products and account growth. Role Summary As part of Global Investment Operations (GIO), this role plays an important part in supporting the firm’s Middle Office trade management function. The position is responsible for administering and processing the books and records for a variety of accounts, including coordinating, booking, checking, and validating trades, settlements, and reconciliations. Working under general supervision, this individual will have direct accountability for a set of moderately complex accounts and/or an administrative process, contribute to process improvement efforts, and handle more advanced issues and questions elevated from less experienced staff. Responsibilities Coordinate the processing of portfolio transactions, ensuring activities are accurate, timely, and compliant with established policies, procedures, and controls. Identify quality, accuracy, or compliance deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action to resolve issues and mitigate risk. Guide less experienced peers and support staff on error prevention, process execution, and interpretation of operational controls. Partner regularly with securities operations staff, relationship managers, investment staff, custodians, and vendors to collect, analyze, and communicate information that impacts accounts and trade activity. Respond to queries related to cash breaks, trade breaks, and other standard operational questions from internal and external stakeholders, escalating more complex issues as appropriate. Prepare standard and some nonstandard instructions for settlements, reconciliations, transfers, and related activities. Instruct team members on adjustments needed to books and records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Drive process improvement initiatives focused on automating manual tasks, enhancing efficiency, strengthening controls, and minimizing operational risk. Follow established controls to check and validate third-party reconciliations and support account transitions to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers. Provide feedback, as appropriate, to management and third-party vendors regarding timeliness, service quality, and operational effectiveness. Generate periodic reports and dashboards outlining relevant operational metrics such as error rates, recalculation rates, client satisfaction, responsiveness, and time to resolution. Support a collaborative, control-oriented operating environment that reflects T. Rowe Price’s commitment to operational excellence and client focus. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 2+ years of total relevant work experience Preferred: 2+ years of experience in derivatives and trading operations Knowledge of private placements Experience supporting middle office, trade management, or securities operations processes across the trade lifecycle Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and drive improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and external service providers Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to investigate breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation issues Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, work independently under general supervision, and exercise sound judgment in escalating issues FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role. Estimated Time Commitment: 20-30 minutes Base Salary Ranges Please review the job posting for the location of this specific opportunity. $69,500.00 - $118,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers $76,500.00 - $130,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C. $87,000.00 - $148,000.00 for the location of: New York, California Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
