Job Description
Are you curious, motivated, and forward-thinking? At FIS you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology. Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.
About the Team
The Pricing Strategy team is responsible for defining and evolving product- and solution-level pricing frameworks across FIS’s portfolio, with a focus on Banking, Payments, and Wealth solutions. The team works upstream of deal execution and partners closely with product, commercial, and finance leaders to ensure pricing is scalable, consistent, and aligned to customer value. This role will help shape how FIS prices, packages, and monetizes banking products and services across new and existing client segments.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and execute pricing strategies for banking products and services across new and existing client segments, working within broader portfolio and business objectives.
- Maintain and update list prices, rate cards, pricing metrics, and supporting documentation across the banking product portfolio.
- Build and refine scalable pricing models using subscription, transaction-based, tiered, usage-based, and enterprise pricing structures.
- Support packaging and monetization initiatives by evaluating product bundles, feature differentiation, pricing metrics, and customer segment needs.
- Conduct value-based pricing assessments, competitive benchmarking, customer and market research, and financial analysis to inform pricing recommendations.
- Partner with product teams to incorporate product capabilities, customer value propositions, and go-to-market plans into pricing analyses and proposals.
- Review pricing structures across product lines to identify opportunities for standardization, simplification, and improved consistency.
- Analyze pricing performance, customer adoption, revenue, and profitability to identify opportunities for ongoing optimization.
- Prepare business cases, pricing proposals, and presentations that clearly communicate analytical findings and recommendations.
- Work with finance, commercial, sales, and operational teams to support the implementation and ongoing management of approved pricing changes.
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, product strategy, commercial strategy, or financial analysis.
- Experience in banking, financial technology, payments, or adjacent financial services industries strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategy concepts, including value-based pricing, customer segmentation, competitive positioning, and price architecture.
- Demonstrated experience designing or managing subscription, transaction-based, tiered, usage-based, or enterprise pricing models.
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights and recommendations.
- Ability to understand product capabilities and customer value drivers and convert them into differentiated packaging and monetization approaches.
- Experience working in a cross-functional, product-driven environment and influencing stakeholders across product, finance, sales, and commercial teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing clear, executive-ready presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
Added Bonus If You Have
- Direct experience with core banking platforms, digital banking solutions, transaction processing, or other banking technology products.
- Experience supporting a major product launch, portfolio transformation, or migration to a new commercial model.
- Familiarity with pricing governance processes, configure-price-quote tools, billing systems, or enterprise rate-card administration.
- Experience with SQL, R, Python, or data-visualization tools is a plus.
