Purpose


The SAP FI Tester is responsible for validating and ensuring the quality of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) processes, configurations, integrations, and enhancements in SAP S/4HANA environments. The role involves planning, executing, and documenting test scenarios, identifying defects, and collaborating with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery. The candidate must possess hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects within a manufacturing environment.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


· Develop, review, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for SAP FI processes.

· Validate SAP FI business processes including:

o General Ledger (GL)

o Accounts Payable (AP)

o Accounts Receivable (AR)

o Asset Accounting (AA)

o Bank Accounting

o Financial Closing Activities

o Country Legal Business Processes/Deliverables

· Perform Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

· Validate integrations between SAP FI and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, CO, and WM/EWM.

· Analyze business requirements and prepare comprehensive test documentation.

· Log, track, and retest defects using testing and defect management tools.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders and SAP functional consultants to resolve issues.

· Support data validation and reconciliation activities during migration and implementation phases.

· Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status to project stakeholders.

· Ensure compliance with testing standards and project quality requirements.

· Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, and support projects.

· Exposure of SAP FIORI Applications

· Testing Skills required –

    • Defect Management and Tracking
    • Test Scenario, Test Case & Test Script Preparation
    • Test Data Creation and Validation
    • Defect Retesting and Closure
    • Cutover and Go-Live Validation

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Education

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline


Experience

2-3 years of SAP FI Testing experience

Hands-on testing experience in SAP FI module. Mandatory experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA Implementation project. Strong understanding of GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, and Financial Closing processes. Knowledge of integration testing with MM, SD, PP, and CO modules. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Education

Master's degree or relevant SAP certification.


Experience

SAP S/4HANA certification in Finance/Controlling. Experience with Solution Manager, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or other test management tools.


Other Attributes

Exposure to automated testing tools and manufacturing costing processes.
