At Ocado Logistics, we're redefining the future of supply chain and logistics. With cutting-edge technology, expanding operations and innovative partnerships, our mission is to deliver seamless, efficient and customer-first experiences at scale.
We are the beating heart of our UK operations, comprising a network of advanced warehouses and offices that optimise operations and leverage proprietary technology across the supply chain. Joining us means tackling high-impact challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams and shaping the way the world shops, all while growing your career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
About the role
As Analytics Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping how Ocado Logistics uses data and insight to drive better business decisions and performance. You'll lead the delivery of analytical capabilities across a broad range of business areas, from optimising operational performance, including site capacity, throughput and vehicle requirements, to workforce planning, headcount and people related analysis, as well as financial modelling and investment cases.
You'll combine hands-on analytical delivery with the leadership of your team, ensuring priorities are focused on the areas that will make the biggest difference, impact and align with our strategic business goals. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll identify opportunities, translate complex challenges into analytical solutions and bring new capabilities to life through projects such as automation and predictive modelling.
From developing business cases and shaping project priorities to overseeing delivery and keeping stakeholders informed, you'll ensure analytical initiatives deliver tangible business value. Ultimately, you'll help turn data into meaningful insight, influencing decisions and improving the processes that support our wider business strategy.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise in SQL/Python with commercial awareness, curiosity and the ability to communicate the bigger picture. Someone who can move beyond the numbers, challenge thinking and help stakeholders understand not just what the data says, but how to turn the data into meaningful action.
Ideally, you’ll be an experienced Analytics Lead or Manager having worked for or with operationally focused businesses, in industries such as manufacturing, retail, logistics, supply chain. We’re also keen to hear from candidates with a consulting background who have experience delivering analytical solutions and driving business impact. You’ll understand how analytics can be applied in a practical, fast-paced setting to solve operational challenges, improve performance and drive better business decisions.
You will

- Influence business decisions: Translate complex datasets into clear recommendations, helping stakeholders understand the implications of the data and the actions needed to drive improvements.
- Manage analytical products: Take ownership of existing analytical products, ensuring they remain relevant, accurate and effective, while identifying opportunities to enhance or retire them.
- Lead and develop your team: Manage, coach and motivate a team of 3–5 Analysts and Senior Analysts, supporting their professional development, prioritising workloads and building technical capability.
- Build strong stakeholder partnerships: Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across Logistics Operations, People, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Retail and Technology to understand business challenges and deliver analytical solutions.
- Deliver projects from concept to completion: Develop business cases for new analytical capabilities, prioritise opportunities and manage delivery, keeping stakeholders informed on progress, timelines and outcomes.
- Champion new technology and ways of working: Explore opportunities to use automation, cloud data platforms and AI tools to improve analytical efficiency and the way the business accesses and uses insight.
You will bring
- Strong analytical experience: At least five years' experience in analytical roles, ideally within retail, logistics or operational environments, with a degree-level qualification.
- Technical expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience developing analytical applications and working with complex datasets.
- Data and technology knowledge: Experience working with cloud data platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure, Snowflake or Databricks.
- AI curiosity and capability: Experience using AI tools such as Gemini, Claude or Codex, with an interest in exploring how emerging technology can improve analytical delivery.
- Commercial and operational understanding: Experience working with varied datasets across financial, people and operational areas, with the ability to understand business challenges and identify opportunities through data.
- Stakeholder influence: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present complex information, influence decisions and build relationships across different levels of the business.
- Leadership experience: Previous experience leading, coaching or developing an analytical team, with the ability to motivate others, manage competing priorities and drive high-quality delivery.
- A proactive approach: Someone who is adaptable, self-motivated and comfortable balancing day-to-day operational requirements with longer-term projects in a fast-moving environment.
