We’re Bored Panda Group – one of the world’s leading tech-driven media and entertainment companies, creating uplifting content in 17 languages for people of all ages. It all started in 2009 with a small online project that grew into an award-winning publisher, followed by Crafty Panda, the DIY channel that reached #1 on Facebook worldwide. Today, we’re three companies strong: boredpanda.com, Bored Panda Studios and Spike. What connects us is the way we work: we combine creativity with data and AI, experiment fast and scale what works. The result? 660M+ page views and 60B+ views every year. Our 300+ Pandas work across 50 countries, with two offices in Vilnius, Lithuania – and here, your work can reach millions of people every day.

Spike is our animation and IP company, creating an animated series about a 6-year-old dragon boy who’s winning over kids around the world. Brought to life in 2022 out of our founder’s lifelong love of animation, the series started on YouTube and helps kids navigate the bumpy side of everyday life through stories about friendship, emotions and family. Today, Spike has 200+ original episodes, over 1 billion organic YouTube views and content in 16 languages. Beyond YouTube, kids can watch it on platforms such as Netflix, Go3, iQIYI and Happy Kids TV. Our 60+ artists, writers and animators are now turning it into a global brand, with books, toys and more on the way. Right now, we’re looking for a talented Animatic Supervisor to help us bring Spike to even more kids around the world.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise the entire animatic process, from initial storyboarding through to the delivery of timed and exported animatic footage, ensuring the visual storytelling supports the creative direction of the series;

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to align on the creative expectations for each episode and maintain narrative and visual continuity;

  • Guide and support the animatic team, providing clear feedback and practical solutions to strengthen staging, composition, acting, and storytelling;

  • Review and refine storyboards and animatics to ensure shots communicate the intended action, emotion, and narrative clearly and effectively;

  • Ensure scripts are translated into engaging, coherent visual narratives that respect the intended emotion of each scene, develop character arcs, and build intrigue and tension;

  • Ensure consistency in character positioning, screen direction, shot transitions, and staging throughout each episode and across the series;

  • Identify storytelling issues, pacing problems, and continuity errors early, taking ownership of solutions to keep the production moving efficiently;

  • Establish and maintain animatic guidelines, workflows, and review processes that support consistent quality and effective collaboration across departments.

What We Expect:

  • Proven experience in an Animatic Supervisor, Storyboard Supervisor, or senior storyboard artist role within 2D animation production;

  • A strong understanding of visual storytelling, shot composition, staging, screen direction, camera language, and cinematic continuity;

  • A keen sense of timing, rhythm, and pacing, with the ability to balance dialogue, action, comedy, and emotional beats;

  • Strong skills in translating scripts into clear, engaging storyboards and developing them into polished animatics that communicate the intended narrative;

  • The ability to interpret and effectively apply feedback from the Creative Director and Project Owners while preserving the integrity of the story;

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide the animatic team, provide constructive feedback, and align the team around a shared creative vision;

  • A strong sense of ownership and initiative, with the ability to identify storytelling problems, contribute original ideas, and propose effective creative solutions;

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to balance storytelling quality, clarity, and production deadlines;

  • Proficiency in Storyboard Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro, with the ability to adapt to the project's tools and production pipeline.

What We Offer:

  • We'll foster your growth: get encouraged to train your extra skills, talents or passion and apply them at work, with training and development opportunities to deepen your expertise and master the latest AI tools;

  • We'll cover your health: private health and accident insurance will be at your service after the first 3 months with us;

  • We'll give you flexibility: hybrid work options depending on your team, plus one month of workation from anywhere in the world;

  • We'll celebrate your success: bonuses for weddings, childbirths, referred friends, and more;

  • We'll keep you comfortable: flexible workspaces, a comfy lounge to recharge in, snacks on hand, and a pet-friendly office;

  • We'll give you memories: immerse yourself in themed parties, team buildings, and other events.

Compensation: €3,000–4,000 gross/month, depending on experience.
