AP Accountant

As an AP Team member your main purpose is to support in ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including assisting in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process and strengthen/grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments. Areas of expertise: Financial Accounting & AP – A good understanding of financial accounting principles and standards is essential for this role, together with experience from the AP process. Financial Reporting: Proficiency in preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports and a good understanding of how the AP process supports the overall reporting. IT and System knowledge: Familiarity with financial systems and experience in maintenance of accounting and reporting systems. Collaboration – ability to collaborate across teams internally and externally with Vendors and suppliers. Personal qualifications: Great analytical and problem-solving skills. Disciplined, organized and able to work towards deadlines; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Result driven and hands-on mentality. Main responsibility: to ensure and enable the AP team to fulfil their responsibilities of accurate and timely financial reporting. This includes following main responsibilities: Maintain and update vendor database Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry Execute bank reconciliation Collaborate with other departments ensuring continuous improvements on process from an end-to-end perspective, especially the procurement team Prepare and execute payments Secure queries from Vendors and internal stakeholders This role offers the opportunity to grow professionally, build valuable skills, and contribute to meaningful outcomes.
