Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records by accurately recording accounting transactions.
  • Reconcile transitory accounts.
  • Process and maintain supporting documentation for accounting transactions.
  • Assist the Reporting Department with the intercompany trade balance reconciliation process by providing accurate and timely supporting documentation.
  • Perform detailed bank reconciliations on a line-by-line basis upon receipt of the required documentation from the Treasury Department.
  • Provide support for Dutch VAT (BTW) reporting, as required.
  • Support the Accounting Supervisor in resolving disputes with vendors, customers, and branch offices.
  • Assist the Accounting Supervisor during year-end audit activities.
  • Prepare accounts receivable documentation by collecting and verifying appropriate supporting records.
  • Monitor and reconcile outstanding vendor and customer balances.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience required:

  • Degree-level qualification in Business Economics (HBO level) or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in accounting theory and Modern Business Administration.
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge, with the ability to manage the full accounting cycle from transaction processing through to financial reporting (technical accounting and bookkeeping skills will be assessed during the interview process).
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; Dutch and/or Italian language skills would be advantageous.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including advanced use of spreadsheets and other business applications.
  • A collaborative team player with the confidence to embrace change, challenge the status quo where appropriate, and lead by example.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
  • Suitable for candidates at an early stage of their professional accounting career who are keen to develop within an international environment.

  • €50,000-€57,000 gross annual salary, including an 8% holiday allowance and 13th-month payment.
