We are looking for a dedicated AP French Online Instructor to provide remote instruction that prepares high school students for the AP French Language and Culture exam. The instructor will design comprehensive lessons that focus on language proficiency, cultural knowledge and exam readiness, aligning with AP standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of French and a deep understanding of the AP French curriculum and exam strategies. Key Responsibilities: Lesson Planning & Instruction: Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the AP French Language and Culture curriculum, focusing on listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. Teach essential vocabulary, advanced grammar, and effective communication techniques in French. Integrate French culture into lessons, covering literature, history, contemporary issues, and regional differences. Utilize diverse multimedia resources (videos, articles, and audio clips) to immerse students in the French language. Exam Preparation & Student Engagement: Prepare students for all aspects of the AP French exam (multiple-choice, free-response, and oral components). Conduct practice tests and provide detailed feedback to address areas for improvement. Create a dynamic, supportive online classroom that encourages student interaction and language practice. Use real-life scenarios and role-plays to help students build confidence and fluency. Progress Monitoring & Communication: Track student progress through regular assessments, quizzes, and assignments. Communicate performance updates and study recommendations to students and parents. Offer strategies for exam success, including time management and effective study habits. Technical & Administrative Support: Use virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, LMS) to effectively manage lessons and resources. Maintain accurate attendance, grading records, and student progress documentation. Support students in troubleshooting any technical issues with online learning tools. Requirements Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. French teaching certification and familiarity with AP French standards are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching French, preferably with AP French teaching experience. Prior experience with online teaching platforms and digital classroom management. Skills: Native or near-native proficiency in French with strong grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation skills. Deep understanding of the AP French exam format, scoring criteria, and strategies for student success. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs. Proficiency with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards, etc.). Technical Requirements: Reliable internet connection, a computer with a webcam and microphone.
