The APAC Value Creation Finance Lead is accountable for providing financial leadership, analytical power and constructive challenge and insight to support the delivery and tracking of the Value Creation plans that will ultimately enable the ABU to exceed the EBITDA targets. The VC Finance Lead role will work across the ABU engaging with all LT Functional Leaders, Workstream Leaders and finance teams to ensure initiatives are supported by a strong business case, cost analysis is accurate and teams are continuing to approach the VC challenge with bold thinking and a sense of urgency.

In addition to providing Finance & Analytical expertise, the APAC VC Finance lead will partner closely with the Transformation Office Value Creation APAC lead (who will assume the role of PMO) to drive the transformation, champion the change agenda and lead the execution across APAC with pace and urgency.

Whilst the VC Finance Lead will have accountability across all 5 workstreams, the primary focus will be to work closely with the Mills, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to accelerate execution of initiatives in these workstreams across APAC. The role will also work closely with the Arbex FP&A team to ensure future forecasts are captured within the Quarterly Forecast and performance is integrated into the Monthly Results review process.

In this context the ABU VC Finance Lead will need to work effectively both within the ABU cross-functionally but also lead and collaborate with Finance teams across the mills, countries and HQ teams.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Act as a strategic partner to the ABU President and APAC Leadership Team, shaping the Value Creation plans, ensuring robust analysis, bringing challenge and insight to strengthen execution, tracking and forecasting performance

• Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly performance reporting and presentations, translating financial results and KPI’s into clear insight, highlighting variances and trends

• Own and drive the financial performance of the VC agenda, including delivery of short- and long-term plans, forecast accuracy, risks and opportunities, and clear mitigation actions.

• Ensure disciplined investment choices supported by robust analysis and business cases

• Provide robust challenge and decision support to Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Marketing, ensuring major decisions are financially sound and aligned with CFIs

• Build, coach and develop analytical capability within the mills and supply chain finance teams to step change the quality of cost analysis and enable bolder and faster decision-making

• Partner effectively with the Transformation Office, APAC Value Creation Lead, PMO, FP&A and wider workstream teams.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

Qualifications and experience

• Experienced finance leader with strong commercial, operational and technical finance capability, preferably in FMCG or another manufacturing-led consumer business.

• Professional accounting qualification, MBA or equivalent senior finance experience. Typically, ten years of progressive finance experience, including P&L ownership, commercial analysis, business planning, manufacturing and supply chain finance

• Strong strategic and analytical capability, with the courage to constructively challenge assumptions and influence senior leaders.

• Strong enterprise mindset and ability to work across diverse cultures, functions and geographies.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Srong English communication skills are critical for this role to analyse, interpret complex documents, respond effectively to sensitive enquiries or issues, and make clear, persuasive presentations to senior management.
