API Developer Build APIs that power real payments. At Yabie, we build fintech solutions that make payments and everyday business easier for merchants. Our platform sits at the intersection of payments, software and commerce — and APIs are a core part of making it all work. We’re growing our tech team and are now looking for two experienced API Developers who want to build, improve and maintain scalable integrations and services in a fast-moving fintech environment. What you’ll do As an API Developer at Yabie, you’ll work hands-on with the APIs connecting our platform, partners and payment ecosystem. You’ll be involved in everything from designing new solutions to improving existing integrations, with a strong focus on quality, scalability and maintainability. Some of the things you’ll work with: • Develop and maintain robust REST APIs and backend services. • Design integrations between Yabie, partners and external systems. • Work with API management and gateways such as Kong or similar. • Build scalable services using Java and Spring Boot. • Work with databases including PostgreSQL / AWS RDS and MongoDB. • Troubleshoot, optimize and continuously improve existing solutions. • Collaborate closely with other developers, product and business teams. • Explore how AI-supported development tools can make us faster and better. Your tech stack Java · Spring Boot · PostgreSQL · AWS RDS · MongoDB · REST APIs · API Gateways Experience with Kong is a big plus, but experience from similar API gateway solutions works just as well. Who we think you are We’re looking for developers with around 3–5+ years of professional experience, ideally with a strong background in backend and API development. You enjoy understanding how systems connect, solving complex problems and building solutions that other developers actually enjoy working with. We also think you: • Have solid experience developing and maintaining APIs. • Have worked with Java and Spring Boot in production environments. • Understand databases and data modelling. • Have experience with an API Gateway such as Kong or similar. • Care about clean, reliable and maintainable code. • Are curious about new technology and modern development practices. • See AI-assisted development as an opportunity rather than a buzzword. • Speak Swedish.
