Job Description
Appian BPM Technical Lead
Experience Required: 10 Years
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days per Week in Office
Role Overview
• Experienced Appian Technical Lead to design, develop, and lead enterprise-grade Appian solutions supporting digital transformation and platform modernization initiatives
• Provide technical leadership to ensure scalable, high-performing, and secure low-code applications aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Support integrations with enterprise systems such as OnBase
Key Responsibilities
• Define Appian architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices
• Lead the design and development of scalable Appian applications and workflows
• Guide development teams on Appian implementation, performance tuning, and optimization
• Design and implement integrations between Appian and enterprise systems, including OnBase, APIs, and databases
• Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards
• Establish development governance, CI/CD practices, and deployment standards
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and product teams
• Review and approve solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture
• Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution
• Drive reusable component development and adoption of Appian platform best practices
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in application development and solution architecture
• Strong expertise in Appian design, development, and architecture
• Experience with workflow automation, case management, and business process design
• Proficiency in Appian integrations including REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and databases
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery models
• Excellent technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Appian certifications (Senior/Lead Developer or Architect level)
• Experience integrating Appian with OnBase or ECM platforms
• Experience in financial services or insurance domain
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture
